Nice gameplay trailer for Metro 2039. So so damn good. Metro 2033 and Last Light are such amazing games. I mean, I liked Exodus as well, but it didn't need open world zones. But still great regardless.

60FPS was also not a deal break for me given that it's an RPG. My TV luckily does support 120HZ / VRR so I was going to opt for the 40FPS mode. Wish more devs would do that. It's the perfect compromise between FPS and Visuals.

But then again, I'm not too much bothered about graphics to be honest. Gameplay and how much fun it is, is what most important to me. Nice graphics are a bonus though

you know I'm actually okay with 30FPS on most games with quality mode but im sure the 60fps guys will be happy to hear that!

The Witcher 4 Targets 2028 Release, Won’t Appear at Gamescom

While CD Projekt Red gears up to showcase The Witcher 3’s upcoming expansion, Songs of the Past, at Gamescom Opening Night Live tonight, it has let fans know ahead of time that the highly anticipated The Witcher 4 won’t make an appearance at the show. The studio did leave us with a bit of bright news, at least: it’s now targeting a 2028 release.

In a rare development update for The Witcher 4, CD Projekt Red revealed that it’s targeting a release sometime in 2028, though no exact date was given. CEO Michal Nowakowski wrote in the update that the game “features a huge and immersive open world, intense and action-packed gameplay” so a lot of work has to go into it, which means fans will simply have to wait a few more years before they can play it.

Nowakowski explained:

“We have more than 500 incredibly talented developers working to create something truly special for you. The Witcher 4 features a huge and immersive open world, intense and action-packed gameplay, and a deep, impactful story that we hope will stay with you for a long time. [censored]is our biggest, our boldest and most ambitious game to date. Now I know you’re eager to learn when it’s coming. That’s the question we’re hearing from you all the time. So while we’re not showing The Witcher 4 at the event and we’re not ready to share an exact date, I can tell you this: The Witcher 4 is targeting a 2028 release window.”

The dev team behind The Witcher 4 consists of some talented industry veterans including the animator behind Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, a former Baldur’s Gate 3 cinematic artist, and a quest designer from Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Back in June 2025, CD Projekt Red showcased an Unreal Engine 5 tech demo of The Witcher 4 which gave us our first potential glimpse at gameplay, exploration and visuals.
