Picked up the Collectors Edition of Phantom Blade 0 from China. It doesn't come with the game though so also really keen to get the disc from you guys if are importing it. Game gives me Bujingai/Blood Will Tell vibes. The statue in the CE is stunning so I couldn't resist lol

@Tea I don't mind the shipping fee, as the shipping cost isn't even high in my opinion

@vector - we are investigating a courier solution for customers that order frequently. We unfortuanetly are a smaller indepedent company and as such we cant always amortise costs like the larger guys. Working on it though

So how many orders do I have to make before I qualify for free shipping?

@Vernon1711

If you haven't tried it, Mortal Shell 2 has an open beta you can download and try. I liked it a lot as well

Beast Of Reincarnation is very easy. I'm playing on hard mode and honestly, that feels more like normal to me. Normal and Story mode are laughably easy. Even a person in a vegetative state will be able to play it on those modes.

But I think even if you play on the lower difficulties, the combat and the world traversal is still awesome.

29 Days to Onimusha as well :-D

This conversation below is interesting, I dont know whether I should now go for Mortal Shell 2 which is showing some potential here or Beast of Reincarnation

I suck at soul games so leaning more towards Beast of Reincarnation which I heard is more forgiving....

Also a reminder:

Blood Of The Dawnwalker releases in 20 days

@Tea

I think the 1st area of Best Of Reincarnation ruins the opening of the game. It's rather dull and seems generic. But at the end of the first chapter and some story things happen, then the game actually gets going. And the later areas are actually quite nice.

I like the combat as well and the traversal mechanics are awesome as well. Just like in Sekiro

@IkariX - you know we have actually had good feedback from customers on the game!

I know its not a 10/10 but seems to be a great experience!

Demon's Souls on PS5 is Reportedly Using the Shadow of the Colossus Engine

by Sam Aberdeen on 26 October, 2020

    1

Bluepoint Games may be synonymous with high-quality remasters and remakes, having previously done work on Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, but it was 2018's beautiful remake of Shadow of the Colossus that really catapulted the studio to fame, and among one of Sony's most talented developers. Earlier this year, they announced that they would be remaking From Software's iconic Demon's Souls, the PS3 title that kickstarted the Souls franchise as we know it today. So far, the bits of gameplay shown has been quite impressive, reflecting how a true "next-gen" title should look and play. However, some tweaks to an old engine lines the upcoming remake.

According to Lance McDonald, who has a history working on several From Software mods, has apparently seen new gameplay from the upcoming Demon's Souls remake. While he didn't comment any further about it, he briefly explained some gameplay features. "When you run, the player character is almost dead centre and the camera is zoomed out basically the same as PS3," said McDonald. "When you walk, or stand still, it comes in close and seems a little offset to the right." However, he dropped another bombshell too, stating in a recent tweet that the Demon's Souls remake is using parts of the Shadow of the Colossus remake's engine. This shouldn't come as a surprise, as Shadow of the Colossus remains one of the best-looking games on PS4, and the upcoming Demon's Souls remake may set a decently high bar for the PS5's capabilities too.

McDonald also revealed that something called "Fractured Mode" was intended to be in the game, though also stated that he had no idea what it was meant to be in the context of the remake. "Oh and I don't know what 'Fractured mode' was ever intended to be but there's also no mention of that. No idea if it's still a thing, but I've seen nothing about it at all," said McDonald. If it is a bit of cut content, we may likely never know or see that content in action - though some fans speculate that this mystery mode could be added later down the line as a free update. Nonetheless, still take all of this with a grain of salt as it does not come directly from Sony or Bluepoint, but we won't have to wait long now as Demon's Souls is just a few weeks away from launch.

Demon's Souls releases on November 12th, 2020 exclusively for PS5.
