@Dp - its actually been horrific with scalpers - We have to cross check peoples names, addresses and purchase history on niche releases as those guys buy up all the stock and resell at ridiculous prices whch are completely unfair to the normal consumer.

But yes - Pre-orders are on the increase as people realise how limited the physical edition releases of a game can now be.

We do try warn guys when we see limited availablity on new games too.

There seems to be a mass panic in buying physical games lately which is a great breeding ground for scalpers as well. I've seen a couple games release recently that have gone out of stock before release and even older titles which were readily available have all but disappeared and can only be bought at a premium price in the aftermarket. Likely going to see a big increase in pre-orders in upcoming months from people that want to secure physical copies.

Bagged a copy of Hellraiser Day 1 Edition. Game will probably be quite rare in future, print run seems limited. Folks on Reset Era say it's sold out most places.

Death Stranding Release Date Revealed With New Trailer

by Robert de Wit on 29 May, 2019

Death Stranding, one of the most anticipated games of the PS4, finally has an official launch date: 8th of November 2019. The release date was made final in a surprise announcement on PlayStation's official Twitch account today, showcasing some beautiful new Death Stranding footage.

It was believed that The Last of Us 2 was to have a November release date, but it seems that it may be pushed back to an early 2020 - probably January or February. Not many expected Death Stranding to have such an early release date, and even fewer still, expected the announcement to be made in such an odd way. However, the themes that Death Stranding will deal with are pretty obscure, apart from an overtone of uniting the world to stand together as one, so perhaps this was the most fitting way to announce the title.

In the gameplay footage, we saw snowy mountainous areas, with what appeared to be a blue-neon motorcycle that our main protagonist, Sam (played by Norman Reedus), can ride. We also saw what appeared to be a government office, presumably the White House, with a nation's flag in the far right, as well as glimpses of Sam traversing through several biomes sprawled out across the deserted planes of America.

Most surprising, however, is the inclusion of filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn, best known for directing the Ryan Gosling films Drive and Only God Forgives, who will be a part of the main cast of Death Stranding.

Death Stranding is coming exclusively to PS4 on November 8th, 2019.

Crazy to see how much the engine has updated between the games and with the help between the two sides, lets hope Guerrilla's next project is on par with this beast! (if they pull this off) haha
