Rumour: Metroid Prime 4 Release Date Leaked
Metroid Prime 4 remains one of Nintendo's most mysterious upcoming exclusives. First revealed all the way back at E3 2017, Nintendo has mostly been secretive about any and all information or trailers, apart from just showing a black screen with the logo. Many expected Nintendo to have some news on the game at The Game Awards 2018, but like many absentees which also included Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding, it simply never came to be. Now, there's rumours of a leaked release date making rounds on the internet.
The leaked release date comes from Czech retailer SuperGamer, who have marked a November 29th, 2019 release day for Metroid Prime 4. This wouldn't be a far-fetched release date either, as it falls on a Friday. Nintendo typically tends to release their heavy-hitting exclusives on Fridays, usually closer to the end of each year (see last year's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and 2017's Super Mario Odyssey).
However, since there's no confirmation yet from Nintendo, it's best to take this with a grain of salt. Perhaps Nintendo is saving a big reveal of Metroid Prime 4 gameplay for E3 2019, where they might announce the release date too, but for the time being, it does seem very plausible.
Metroid Prime 4 is currently in development exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
