Reviews for Dawnwalker are really good considering it’s rare for first time dev studios (even with vets) to put a game scoring in that meta score range. Might still wait out a few patches but seems like it won’t disappoint

@Vernon1711

Just wait for me outside. I'm sure Nexus will be happy to oblige with giving me a copy of Onimusha when I go "collect" my copy of Blood Of The Dawnwalker wearing a balaclava and a gun.

PlayStation May Have to Pay Nearly $8 Million to Users in Class-Action Lawsuit

by Sam Aberdeen on 01 September, 2026

PlayStation users in the US may be eligible for a cut of nearly $8 million soon in the wake of a class-action lawsuit settlement. The lawsuit, called Caccuri v. Sony Interactive Entertainment, alleged that Sony violated anti-trust and consumer laws by essentially forcing “consumers to pay more for certain digital games than they otherwise would have paid on the PlayStation Store.”

The class-action lawsuit specifically mentions that Sony removed digital vouchers for games from third-party retailers like Amazon or key resellers, leaving users with the only option to purchase games through the PlayStation Store. As we all know by now, PlayStation Store’s pricing can sometimes be twice as much as what other platforms would sell games for, and if a user’s only option is to use Sony’s high-priced store, they’ll have no other option than to fork over PlayStation’s asking price.

With concerns mounting about Sony’s all-digital future once it kills physical game discs in 2028, it will leave consumers with no other options but to use the closed ecosystem of the PlayStation Store. The lawsuit alleges that consumers are being pushed towards the PlayStation Store being their only option and of course, Sony has denied any wrongdoing. The court has yet to actually decide if Sony violated any laws yet, though it has preliminarily approved a $7.85 million settlement which will be subject to a final hearing on 15 October.

In order to be eligible for a cut of the settlement, you need to be a US citizen who purchased a digital game from this list between 1 April 2019 and 31 December 2023. If you’re eligible, PlayStation will deposit the funds directly into your PSN account.

It’s unclear how much money individuals will receive once payments start going out, though we imagine $7.85 million could be dried up pretty quickly if enough US gamers chimed in for a piece of the pie.
