It’s a fresh episode of On the Couch with Netflix, and this week has some interesting choices in each of the columns. Here’s your latest guide of what to watch, and what to skip.

Hit – Daredevil

I actually watched this a while back, but with The Defenders releasing I thought it would be a good time to bring it out. Daredevil sadly gets a bad rep because of the movie which was, let’s say, less than impressive (though I maintain the Director’s Cut is enjoyable). The Daredevil comics are, and always have been, one of the best written with Matt constantly going through a number of personal difficulties, tragedies and worse along the way.
The TV series captured Matt and Daredevil far better than the movie, resulting in a deep, dark show that includes brilliant casting, acting, choreography, character development and more. Every episode of Daredevil is brilliant throughout the two seasons, with stellar performances from the Kingpin and Elektra. It’s a show that will have you gripped from start to finish, and finally shows just how great the character is. Make sure you check it out!

Miss – Blue Mountain State

I am actually not entirely sure what compelled me to watch this. I am a huge fan of The League, and I “think” this was suggested as something similar… but it most definitely is not. This college football nonsense show is all about lewd *humour* and it only took one episode for me to realise it was not for me. I still went and watched a few more episodes, but running with biscuits between your butt crack and then eating it is not my kind of funny. Perhaps it gets better later on, but I ain’t got no time for this kind of stupidity. SKIP.

On the Fence – Dexter

I know this is an old show, but bear with me here. I have been told, throughout my adult life, that I remind people of Dexter. I decided I best, finally watch the show, and he is super weird, which is fine, but the show seems just a little off beat to me. It’s intriguing, I will give it that, but there’s something that’s just not grabbing me just yet. I plan to watch more of it, considering it is so highly recommended, but at this point I am not too sure how far I will get.
