Last week we posted some information surrounding the release of the much anticipated Mortal Kombat 11, including some updates on the beta access, release date and pre-order bonuses. I’m happy to say we now have the official date of time for the closed beta access in South Africa.



The lucky Americans recently got their hands on Mortal Kombat 11 for a stress test over the weekend, which has just come to an end, and with it we got official word of the closed beta access. The closed beta will be available to play in South Africa for all those that have pre-ordered the game on Wednesday, March 27th at 5pm and will run through the weekend ending on Monday, April 1st at 8am.

We still don’t have any confirmation on what will be available, but what we do know is the stress test consisted of 3 characters: Baraka, Scorpion and Skarlet. Limited access to the Kustomization mode was available and players were only able to play online matches with no other options available.

However, on the final day of the stress test, Klassic Towers mode became selectable which allowed for players to experience Mortal Kombat 11 offline.

Here is hoping the closed beta will offer a few more selectable characters as well as a classic tower option so we can all experience the glory of Mortal Kombat 11 offline, and get a taste of what it will play like. We do know for sure that the beta will have an online mode, and from what I have read and seen, it’s been getting some great feedback from players. A feature many have praised in the recently released Dead or Alive 6 is also making an appearance in Mortal Kombat 11: online modes where it will not only show players' connection strength, but will also show whether that player is on a wired or wireless connection.
