@Zombia

I almost bought it digitally a few times on sale because I've always wanted to play it. But the DLC prices are a joke. So I'm glad to finally be able to own the full game + DLC in one physical copy. I'm still trying to decide if I should get the PS5 version or Switch 2 version.

It had one previously by Limited Run Games, this version has all the DLC expansions and improved performance though.

Need to sell my original version now.

Oh wow Rain World got a physical edition ? That's a _very_ interesting game but one that's quite a challenge too

Sad to hear about the delay, but I was 100% going to play AC 0 before trying the new one, so if I can get it early, that's all good!

@Tea

It's time for you to play Dawnwalker. What an absolute fantastic game. And seriously, don't worry about the time limit. They should have handled it better in the prologue, because the prologue's time limit is very strict and relaxes significantly afterwards

Standard Edition is now 1499
Deluxe Edition is 1799

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire Physical PS5 Version Now Available in South Africa

by Sam Aberdeen on 04 August, 2026

Months after receiving a digital release, the physical PS5 version of the noir detective first-person shooter game, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire, has arrived in South Africa. The game launched back in April to mostly positive reviews with many applauding its unique art direction drawing inspiration from rubberhose animation of the bygone era.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire can be bought right here for R799 on PS5, letting fans keep the game on a physical disc and have complete ownership over it – something that PlayStation isn’t all too keen on for the future, it seems.

Over on OpenCritic, the game has a Top Critic average of 81 with 85% of critics recommending it. Some criticism is aimed at its lack of “detective” features since this is a game where you play as mouse detective, favouring more action-focused shooter elements. That said, the shooting is highly praised for its flashy art style and cartoonish violence, with many also pointing out its excellent, inspired character designs and thematic dialogue.

The official description for MOUSE: P.I. For Hire reads:

“MOUSE: P.I. For Hire is an action-packed first-person shooter that draws inspiration from the classic cartoons of the 1930s. Its black and white rubber hose visuals are drawn by hand, frame by frame, delivering a striking vintage aesthetic. Unravel layers of corruption with a thrilling noir-fuelled detective story, lively environments to explore, an original big band jazz soundtrack, and a fully loaded arsenal of cartoon weapons and devastating power-ups.”
