MOUSE: P.I. For Hire Physical PS5 Version Now Available in South Africa
Months after receiving a digital release, the physical PS5 version of the noir detective first-person shooter game, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire, has arrived in South Africa. The game launched back in April to mostly positive reviews with many applauding its unique art direction drawing inspiration from rubberhose animation of the bygone era.
MOUSE: P.I. For Hire can be bought right here for R799 on PS5, letting fans keep the game on a physical disc and have complete ownership over it – something that PlayStation isn’t all too keen on for the future, it seems.
Over on OpenCritic, the game has a Top Critic average of 81 with 85% of critics recommending it. Some criticism is aimed at its lack of “detective” features since this is a game where you play as mouse detective, favouring more action-focused shooter elements. That said, the shooting is highly praised for its flashy art style and cartoonish violence, with many also pointing out its excellent, inspired character designs and thematic dialogue.

“MOUSE: P.I. For Hire is an action-packed first-person shooter that draws inspiration from the classic cartoons of the 1930s. Its black and white rubber hose visuals are drawn by hand, frame by frame, delivering a striking vintage aesthetic.
