First Mortal Kombat 11 In-Game Screenshots Revealed
Mortal Kombat 11 made a splash at The Game Awards 2018 where it was officially revealed by series co-creator Ed Boon. Despite some lackluster musical choices (is it so hard to ask for the original movie theme song in the games?), the game looks to be more Mortal Kombat - which is a great thing. Now, we have a few in-game screenshots to mull over while we wait for the big gameplay reveal on January 17th.
The screenshots were posted on the product pages for Mortal Kombat 11 on both Steam and Amazon, which gave us our first concrete look at the in-game combat. Check out the screenshots below:
The screenshots don't reveal much in the way of new characters or moves, but it does look like a natural evolution of Mortal Kombat X. We're expecting buckets of blood, as well as flashy movesets that the series has become known for. Scorpion and Raiden seem to be at each others throats the most in the screenshots, but we don't have any confirmation of which returning characters will make an appearance in the game.
We will have to wait until the gameplay reveal on January 17th, which Nexus will be covering quite extensively. Keep an eye out on our YouTube channel!
Mortal Kombat 11 launches on April 23, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Be sure to pre-order your copy of the game at Nexus, as we'll be having the awesome Premium Edition in stock too.
