Capcom's comeback story is certainly the talk of the town these days. Since the release of Resident Evil 7 (and with the exception of Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite), Capcom have churned out a significant amount of heavy-hitters in terms of critical and commercial success. Monster Hunter: World proved to be the best-selling game in Capcom's history, with this year's Resident Evil 2 and Devil May Cry 5 already garnering Game of the Year praise on top of excellent commercial performances. Needless to say, Capcom is back in top form, and nobody is quite as excited as Capcom.
In a message sent out on Twitter, Capcom USA CEO Kiichiro Urata proudly proclaimed that "Capcom is back!". This is in light of Devil May Cry 5's critical acclaim, which solidified the developer as one of the best in the industry.
