Hey Nexus Hub fans!

As you all know, we are a completely independent business. Times are tough for everyone at the moment, and we have done everything we can to keep our heads above water while staying closed. But with the recent announcement of an extension of the COVID-19 lockdown, it’s got to the point where we humbly need to ask for your help.

Due to the enforced lockdown, we have been unable to trade in any capacity, be it the retail store, our community or brand events and even retail of physical items on our website. This means we are unable to generate any income over the duration of the lockdown and in some cases have even had to refund orders where game/product releases have been delayed or cancelled indefinitely.

As the Nexus Hub, we have always been about you, our community and our shared love of our collective hobbies, but times have changed and circumstances beyond our control force us to reach out and ask our community for assistance so we can continue to pay our staff during this difficult time. We want to ensure that when we all come out of this, we are still able to re-open with the same incredible team that forms the heart of the Nexus Hub.

So how can you help?

1. Our Awesome Staff - We have started a GoGetFunding page which allows our community to donate towards staff wages for the duration of the lockdown and thereafter, as nobody really knows the long term effect of this lockdown on our economy, events and there-in the most important aspect of our business, the people that work with us.

All funds raised through this campaign go directly to the staff of Nexus Popular Culture PTY, our retail, the content writers for Nexus Media (Nexushub and Glitched.online) and our events staff. This includes the systems that help sustain them and their jobs during these trying times. The requested 300k aims at providing our staff financial security for at least 3 months.

2. Retail – While we can’t trade in any form, we are lucky enough to have two options for our retail customers:

a) Exciting competition(s) on the go through Unplugyourself (https://www.facebook.com/unplugyourselfza), an initiative supported by the local supplier of tabletop games that aims to support retail stores by offering 3 x R 10 000 worth of game hampers in a draw, for any purchases made from (2020/03-20 to 2020/06/30) with deliveries made, just after lockdown concludes. b) We will be launching our digital sales/ voucher system in the very near future for the website and that would help support the web team (s) and their respective platforms. In the interim you can purchase vouchers and have the codes emailed to you for Xbox Live / PSN / Steam.





Above all of this, and to help motivate your support, we will as Nexus Hub, be offering the chance to win 1 years’ worth of games (a game a month of your choice, does not include Collector's Editions) or a limited edition sealed in box PlayStation 4 Anniversary Console valued at up to R 40,000. Fundraiser Terms and Conditions

All donations provided through the GoGetFunding campaign will be provided to staff for wages during lockdown and the recovery period post lockdown and includes the systems enabling them to work from home during COVID-19 lockdown. Anything garnered above the requested funding amount will continue to be used in aid of staff and said systems.

All three aspects of support (GogetFunding, UnplugYourSelfie and Digital Voucher purchases) are included in the Support Nexus Hub Campaign Competition.

Any purchase of R 200, or multiples thereof in a purchase counts for 1 entry into the Support Nexus Hub Campaign Competition.. Example a purchase of R 200 is one entry, a purchase of R 450 is two and R 600 would be 3 entries.

Competition closes 2020/06/30 with the draw to be held 2020/07/06. Nexus Popular Culture reserves the right to change the close date and draw date based on updated lockdown information provided by the government.

Should the winner choose twelve (12) games as their prize, you will be provided the opportunity to select one game a month (limited to standard editions, does not include collector's editions), for 12 months from the draw date. You may not exchange this prize for cash or credit. Games will be available for collection or delivered depending on the winner’s preference.

Should the winner choose the Playstation 4 Anniversary Console, they will be provided with the option of collection or delivery to a South African delivery address.
