The world as a whole is going through a really tough time now, and news has been consistently difficult for the most part. Extended Lockdown is in effect in many countries, including our own, which has left us stranded in our homes, finding ways to entertain ourselves through our hobbies.
However, while we get to pass time through our hobbies, many businesses have come to a halt a result. This means the places we get those hobbies from are currently unable to trade - but Solarpop, the local tabletop game and accessory distributor, has a plan and is trying to bring some positivity into this, with its new competition.
For those lucky people in South Africa who are looking for something to do, and are staying safe in their homes this lockdown, there is a competition that may just interest you. There is a chance to win one of three gaming hampers to the value of R10,000 each, simply by making the purchases from your favorite hobby retailer! Details of the competition and it's rules are available from the official site. Read more here: here
Certain retailers have been given special permission to allow online sales, where customers can collect their products after lockdown, or have it couriered to them if the retailer provides this service. You will find the supported retailers on the website itself, which includes www.nexushub.co.za.
There are some tools that would help those want to get into board and trading card games, as well as some facts about COVID-19 if you aren’t already in the loop. The good news is that the participating retailers will have promotions running during this competition, so there may be a chance to grab something you have had your eye on for a while. The competition will end on the 30th of June, 2020.
Help support your Friendly Local Gaming Store (FLGS) during these uncertain times. To enter simply make a purchase from one of the participating retailers as detailed below to a minimum value of R200. This purchase can be made either in store or through the retailers online buying portal.
To enter, send a photo of the till slip or digital invoice (clearly indicating the retailers name) accompanied by your name, e-mail and telephone number via Whatsapp message to 063 174 2560 or via e-mail to competition@unplugyourself.co.za
Each R200 part of the purchase will gain you one entry into the competition. For example: A purchase value of R350 will gain you 1 (one) entry. A purchase value of R400 will gain you 2 (two) entries.
Products that qualify for this promotion includes all board-, card-, miniature, RPG – & TCG games as well as accessory items such as dice and sleeves.
The competition will run from 20-03-2020 and close on 30-06-2020. Prize draws will take place on 30-04-2020, 29-05-2020 and 01-07-2020 with winner announcements made on social media once the winner has been notified either via e-mail or telephonically.
Winners will be supplied with a product catalogue from Solarpop Distribution from which they can build their own R10 000 gaming prize hamper.
Will defend anything Dragon Ball. Occasionally has two-way conversations with himself. Has sleepless nights about Half-Life 3 confirmed.
