Nier Replicant Remastered Announced for PS4, Xbox One and PC
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Nier Replicant, Square Enix recently announced that the tile will be getting the remastered treatment and heading to PS4, Xbox One and PC sometime in 2020. Sticking with baffling titles, the remastered version is called Nier Replicant ver. 1.22474487139, and will retell the story of the first (technically speaking) Nier game before Automata.

The announcement came with its own trailer, and though it doesn't exactly give us any concrete look at the game (or release date) outside of what we assume to be concept art, it does promise us that Nier Replicant is coming - and judging by the tone of the trailer, we should be in for something special.
Not to be confused with the original Nier, or Nier Gestalt (both basically being the exact same game), Nier Replicant switches up the roles of the central characters a bit. In Nier Gestalt, the main character is Father Nier with his daughter Yonah. In Nier Replicant, however, it's Brother Nier with his sister Yonah. As for which one is canon, game creator Yoko Taro hasn't given us a clear reasoning, though there's plenty of reasons to believe that both endings are canon as long as we follow the idea of the Drakengard series' multiple timelines.
Nier Replicant Remastered is currently in development for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
