The third season of the acclaimed live-action adaptation of the Fallout games has officially wrapped filming. A video was recently shared by the cast and crew of the TV show, showing the creators sitting in a crowded theatre alongside some familiar Bethesda faces like Todd Howard, who serves as an executive producer on the series.
As reported by Insider Gaming, Fallout season 3 has wrapped filming but there’s still no release date in sight yet. The video, taken by Maximus actor Aaron Moten, shows a wrap party being celebrated by the cast and crew of the TV show. The wrap-up was previously teased by The Ghoul actor Walton Goggins who posted on social media on 28 October that he had “taken off his Ghoul makeup for the last time.”
Many fans have taken Goggins’ post to mean that season 3 could be the end of the road for the beloved character, though it’s likely referring to the fact that season 3’s shoot had ended and Goggins can finally catch a break again without the extensive makeup work.
The Fallout TV series is set within the same universe of the games and follows vault dweller Lucy MacLean who enters the wastelands in search of her father, who had been taken by a notorious raider group that infilitrated their vault. Together with the help of a disgruntled Brotherhood of Steel member, Maximus, and a rogue Ghoul, Lucy sets out on a journey that takes her to the deserted fallout of Los Angeles, California and a trip to New Vegas in season 2.
As for the video games, Xbox and Bethesda confirmed earlier this year that remasters of both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas were in the works. Developer Obsidian Entertainment also confirmed that it was working on a new Fallout project while Bethesda Game Studios finished development on The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel.
