Cancelled Disney Infinity 4.0 Pre-Alpha Footage Surfaces
United Front Games, who worked on Disney Infinity 3.0 and Sleeping Dogs, recently released pre-alpha footage of the unfortunately cancelled Disney Infinity 4.0, titled Kingdoms.
Kingdoms begins in Agrabah and shows the Disney mash-up that the gaming series should have gone in but didn't. Why exactly that was, I can't say, though one of the rumours floating around at the time was because Disney wanted to keep everything in the franchise canon. In the video, gamers can see Aladdin working with Judy Hopps from Zootopia and Yoda in the main game's story to defeat Jafar and a Star Wars invasion in the main campaign.
While it's clear just how early in development the game was during the video's recording, it showcases the fulfillment of the unspoken promise that all Disney Infinity players wanted. The promise of a mega-franchise mash-up in the main game, and not just the games awesome, make-it-yourself Toy Box mode. Something akin to the phenomenal job that Lego Dimensions did, another unfortunate cancellation.

Disney Infinity had the best toy-to-life figures in terms of pure quality and collectibility. They are just as awesome in a display cabinet or on your work desk as they are on the games portal.
