I saw guys bought up Forza 5 on xbox - now selling at double/ triple the price - same as Indiana jones on PS5...

@Dp - its actually been horrific with scalpers - We have to cross check peoples names, addresses and purchase history on niche releases as those guys buy up all the stock and resell at ridiculous prices whch are completely unfair to the normal consumer.

But yes - Pre-orders are on the increase as people realise how limited the physical edition releases of a game can now be.

We do try warn guys when we see limited availablity on new games too.

There seems to be a mass panic in buying physical games lately which is a great breeding ground for scalpers as well. I've seen a couple games release recently that have gone out of stock before release and even older titles which were readily available have all but disappeared and can only be bought at a premium price in the aftermarket. Likely going to see a big increase in pre-orders in upcoming months from people that want to secure physical copies.

Shaun of the Dead – Firm favourite. I don't think I could ever get sick of it.

@Mr Hat Thing You've got red on you

Mother's Day - Biggest load of crap I've ever watched in my life. So full of cringe-inducing scenes and the acting is atrocious.

Hot Fuzz – Need I say more?
Next up: the weakest of the Cornetto Trilogy, but still a good film.

@Mr Hat World's End starts off strong, but then veers off in the third act with the whole alien reveal and purpose.

Yeah, I know. I think I agree for the most part with the veering off. The end was off key enough that I might consider it brilliant.

John Carpenter's The Thing – Really very awful...ly good.

Truly a classic. I saw the 2011 remake/homage/whatever-it-is first. This doesn't have the same creep factor as the later one, probably because I'm a young whipper snapper (DG's words, not mine ).

It would be interesting to go back a further 30 years before the 1982 one to see the original 1951 The Thing from Another World.

Demolition - I see it's received mixed reviews but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Jake Gyllenhaal plays the role perfectly. Mostly a drama but often funny, the movie depicts how process loss in our own way.

Kung Fu Panda 3 – Not terrible. Boring villain. The quirkiness of the series is in here... but it feels like a forced sequel. Yes, we saw the end of KFP 2 and knew this was coming, but it added little to the series and it was like an excuse to put more of the same jokes in. Still, if this is the last one, that'll be fine.

X-Men Apocalypse - Not terrible, but not quite up to the modern superhero film standard. I'd say better than BvS, but not better than Civil War. The motivations for everyone but Magneto to become Horsemen is never articulated, but I did like how they explained Apocalypse's insane power set. Overall worth a watch.

Paul – Not bad at all. Seth Rogen, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost worked really well together. Some excellent other names too in Bill Hader, Kristin Wig, Jane Lynch, Jason Bateman, and a few more. Probably not up there at the level of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, but definitely good.

Loved this film, think it would've been received better if it was directed by Edgar Wright, but Rogan's performance as the foul alien was amazing. So much heart. Without this film, IMO, Ted would never have been made.

Jason Bourne - definitely not up to par with the original trilogy. The whole plot is a contrivance to get him back. Bourne does stupid things, and the hackers in this film make some really dumb choices.

Besdies that Damon is good, Tommy Lee JOnes is amazing, and Alicia Vikander is very good as the new Nicky. I have the same complaint about the action in this as I always have, Paul Greengrass needs to learn to use a bloody steadycam. Action is tough to follow because of the shaky cam.

Jason Bourne - I really enjoyed it myself. It's not as good as the first three, certainly, but I wasn't bored at all through the movie. Someone though, should tell Greengrass that shaky cam action only confuses things instead of giving you the feeling that you're in the thick of the action.

Independence Day: Resurgence – Started off extremely okay and regressed from there. I don't remember most of the last act, since it was horridly boring. It seems they want to make it in a franchise. Some elements from this film worked, others felt like a fart in the face of a classic.

Killing joke. (-_-)
Why do they have to do this to comic stories.
Not going to go off about the first half, and what it did to the characters, but I will point out that it was POINTLESS. You can start watching from the middle and the story is still there.
They couldn't seem to decide if they wanted a cartoon for kids or a gritty mature movie... I was seriously sitting there wondering "Uhm... is this supposed to be silly?"
Horribly bland movie of a good comic
