Square Enix Might Be Teasing Avengers Project for E3 2019

by Sam Aberdeen on 23 May, 2019

With the hype and anticipation of E3 2019 growing by the day, many companies who will be attending the conference have begun teasing the possibilities of what they will announce. Square Enix is among the many who might be teasing some big things to come, with their social media now featuring an interesting clue.

Square Enix's official Twitter account released two images mentioning the date and time of their E3 conference, centered in an artwork frame. On either side, though, are two cut-off frames, each with a specific colour. Of the two images released, we have four colours: green, blue, purple, and orange. If we consider what these could possibly mean, we just need red and yellow to finish off the colours of the Infinity Stones.

Square Enix Live E3 2019 is less than a month away so be sure to mark your calendars for June 10th at 6pm PT for all the exciting news! https://t.co/PoQw4wE5H3 #SquareEnixE3 pic.twitter.com/pK2RBOTcG9

Square Enix's and Crystal Dynamics' Avengers Project has been silent for a couple of years now, first being unveiled in 2017. While not much detail has been given for the project since then, fans have been wondering what this next game could possibly have that we maybe haven't seen in a Marvel game yet. With Square Enix at the helm, the possibilities are endless for Avengers Project. Will it stylistically and mechanically be similar to Final Fantasy, or are we looking at a more straight-forward action/adventure title in the vein of Tomb Raider?

We will surely know when Square Enix's conference rolls around on June 10th at 6PM PT, or June 11th at 3AM CAT.
