@Phreak

How Hellraiser made it through the ratings boards is beyond me. But I give the devs 10/10 with authenticity and sticking to what Hellraiser is.

Hellraiser franchise has had it's fair share of ups, downs, more downs and even more downs. But luckily Dimension doesn't have the movie rights anymore. And there is a rumour that Clive Barker is in fact writing and directing a new Hellraiser movie. So that would be amazing.

@Tea: I think Kena 2 was unfortunatly delayed. But its a small team. So its good they get more time.

@VectorTwoSix

For now I would not be hopeful, this article was released https://wccftech.com/phantom-blade-zero-playstation-5-pulled-listings-no-physical-edition/ that shows for now, there is no intention for a physical release, maybe it will be like Black Myth Wukong where they will release physical later

Possibly after the timed exclusivity ends

Look I'm really excited for Phantom Blade Zero, but I refuse to buy it digitally. Much like Black Myth Wukong, I will wait if I have to, but if you're getting a physical, please sign me up (I heard rumours there would be some physicals released).

@Phreak

I'm very excited for FF Resonance.

I'm going to binge play Hellraiser the whole weekend. It's so freaking good. Hellraiser: Revival has such sights to show you.

James Gunn Originally Wanted The Suicide Squad to Fight Superman

by Sam Aberdeen on 17 August, 2021

James Gunn's The Suicide Squad, a sequel-ish to 2016's Suicide Squad, recently hit theatres and streaming on HBO Max to warm critical success. The film was praised for its ensemble of relatively smaller but threatening DC villains teaming up to stop a cosmic threat. While Starro eventually ended up being the main villain of the movie, he originally thought of pitting the Suicide Squad up against Superman.

In an interview with AV Club, The Suicide Squad director James Gunn spoke in some detail about his early decision to change the main villain of the story from Superman to Starro. The pitch was to have the team instead fight Superman, though considered Starro to be a more fitting comic book villain since it would not have had any greater opportunity on film.

"When I came up with Starro--he's a character I love from the comics. I think he's the perfect comic book character because he's absolutely ludicrous but he's also very scary in his own way," said Gunn. "What he does is scary. He used to scare the crap out of me when I was a child, putting those face-huggers on Superman and Batman and stuff. So I thought he was one of the major, major DC villains that was probably never going to be put into another movie. And if they did, they would do it like, the black cloud version of Starro. Not a giant, walking starfish, a kaiju that is bright pink and cerulean blue, just ridiculously big, bright bad guy."

Gunn isn't entirely wrong. Starro, who is ridiculous by comic book standards but still a dangerous threat in the DC universe, wouldn't have seen the silver screen in any future DC movies. Superman, on the other hand, is still mostly the poster boy for DC (stiff competition against Batman there), and an evil version of Superman had already been done in Justice League, albeit briefly.

In addition to Justice League, Rocksteady Studios' upcoming video game Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League also features a corrupted and evil Superman that the Suicide Squad will need to battle. Gunn made the right decision by shying away from using yet another evil Superman iteration, and instead gave us a pretty awesome and memorable villain in Starro.

The Suicide Squad is now in cinemas and streaming on HBO Max.
