@ DP - Die after a year...kinda like my 360 tbh, thus, I will not buy the WiiU whilst I have a 360. I'm gonna sell my 360 (as it does absolutely NOTHING) and buy a WiiU, which I know will give me far more enjoyment than the 360, I only played fighters on the 360, now I don't play fighters which has resulted in me not using my 360 anymore. So as I said, I will def buy a WiiU, but only once I've sold my 360, for the limited amount of time I got to spend with the WiiU and also remember I only played on game (A damn fun one I must add)I got so excited about it, it really looks like the WiiU can deliver more fun than a 360.

It's most likely the game you played is a mulitplatform title lol so you wouldn't really need to buy a Wii U for it. There are plenty of good platform titles on the other consoles as well, I mean Rayman Origins is probably the best platforming of this gen by far. 360 has Dust an Elysian Tale which will breathe new life into you xbox.

I don't think it's so much the console you liked but rather a new taste of a game genre you haven't delved much into at least from what I've seen you play.

First check out different types of games before selling whichever consoles or buying new ones, you might end up regretting it. I know I did when I sold my Wii for the first time.

Honestly just think carefully about the purchase and don't make it an impulse buy. There plenty of games like that on 360 and PS3. I think the big decision to buy a Wii U will come after E3, that's when I think the impact will be made.

nintendoland is pretty fun if you like to play with friends, but just make sure you have the motion plus thingy for the wiimote if you want to play that zelda mini-game with friends.

Unless 3rd party developers really start using the touch screen for more than a mini map and an inventory screen then the thing won't be that useful. Zombie U seems to be the only game that used the screen to its full potential. The only other game that looks like it will is the Rayman game that is coming out, that E3 demo was amazing.

Well...I do have a PS3 and a PSV, my 360 is doing absolutely NOTHING, nothing at all, thus I thought, get a new console that will get used for a change. Reading everyones comments now, maybe what I should do, is wait and see when the 720 will get released, if it's still 2 years, then I'll buy the WiiU, if it's 1 I might leave it.

@ DP - That game might be 2nd hand now, but from what I played, it's a game I'll def finish, it really is awesome!!! But what you said also makes sense...wait and see what the library looks like in around 3 - 4 months. I wouldn't be able to buy it for at least 2 months anyway, I've forked out TONS of money in the recent months. So I'll need to get back from honeymoon and recover a bit, I must still admit though, the WiiU is not as bad a purcgase decision as I initially thought. And knowing me, I'll buy the WiiU, 720 and the PS4 at the end of the day, still...after reading everyones posts, I should maybe stay away from the WiiU for a while and make a proper decision and do some more home work with regards to this console before I jump in and buy it...

Personally I will buy a Wii U this year, just not until there are more games on it.

As DP says there is a lot to play out there, I have unopened games and half finished games and games iv finished by havent even done half the content in.

The consoles and the games are not going anywhere, rather wait till it has a couple of titles on it you want and you've run out of stuff to play on your other machines lol.

But how do you play Wii games on it? When your using the Wii-U controller, you can't flail around the nunchuck as well. Does the Wii_u controller emulate the Wii controller well? And do you have to buy the sensor bar seperate?

On a game like batman arkhem city, where the tv screen is the game screen, and your controller is your inventory, what happens when you unplug from the tv because the GF wants to watch Here comes Honey Boo-Boo? Does the game smoothly revert to tab mode, or can some games only be played on TV?

- Yes, it is with Wii games.
- You do not use the WiiU controller. you have to use a Wiimote.
- I assume you would need the sensor bar in order for the Wiimote to work.

This depends entirely on the game (from what I believe).
Regardless, you merely lose the original controller screen meaning the game will play like a normal game without the 2nd screen option. Again, I think this depends on the game: I do not believe that something like ZombiU can be played without the controller and TV as one.

Wonder if the back of the game case says "Warning, needs TV to function."
Some no playing Wii games in bed? Not unexpected I guess, whould just be nice to take Xenosaga to the toilet with you...

New 3D Mario, Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart For Wii U To Be Revealed At E3

A new 3D action Mario game for Wii U is in development at Super Mario Galaxy development team, EAD Tokyo, as well as a new Mario Kart game. Both titles will be shown in playable form at E3.

In addition to these, the first screenshots for Super Smash Bros. will be shown off at E3 as well, although Iwata didn’t share any new information about any of these games.

Additionally, Nintendo president, Satoru Iwata, revealed in a Nintendo Direct presentation today that a new party game for Wii U is being worked on by the team of developers that works on Mario Party.

EA is going to skip the Wii U for 15 of its upcoming titles - including Mass Effect 4, Dragon Age 3 and its unannounced Star Wars games - due to the console's incompatibilities with DICE's Frostbite Engine 3.

DICE technical director Johan Andersson explained on Twitter that the Frostbite 2 engine wasn't running well on the Wii U, so it decided to abandon efforts to get its successor on Nintendo's latest console. "FB3 has never been running on WiiU. We did some tests with not too promising results with FB2 & chose not to go down that path," he wrote.

They have the best selection of exclusive titles coming up, anyone buying a Wii U for 3rd party games is an idiot

lol i doubt people would be missing much anyways.wii u doesn't really need that shovelware but yes, the line up is moving pretty slow at this stage. the only 3rd party games i can think of that look even remotely interesting to me would be Monster Hunter and RE Revelations but those are both on multiple platforms so i dont really feel rushed to get one right now (also i'm broke).Never been a huge fan of the 1st party titles either but damn i want that new Smash bros so bad i'm sure that game is gonna be huge.

but there are still some great 3rd party titles coming up. if i don't have a wii u by the time bayonetta 2, Xenoblade 2 and SMT X Fire Emblem come out i will cry.

This will hurt the install base, there is no getting around this. It's not just EA either.

Anyhow I bought the Wii U for the exclusives just a pity there is FA to buy for the next few months. Plus if anything good comes out you just have to hope get one of the ten copies Core bring into SA

I think that this will definitely hurt Ninty. It is poor PR as now the public has the idea in their head that the WiiU is inferior instead of different. TBH if your choice in terms of budget was the WiiU, PS3 and Xbox 720 you would look at the comments and see that the biggest studio has, for all intents and purposes, stopped developing for the console and no games = door stop. Heck at the moment the slow release of ANY titles has turned my WiiU into a doorstop!
