With the new FW update do I still need the wii mote to access the wii games on the wiiU or can I start
them without the wii mote cos I got a few wii games but no wii mote or nun

you need the wii-mote to start and play, I think you cant use the wii-u gamepad to play because you wouldnt be able to point at the screen or use the nunchuck (which uses a separate motion sensor) anyway :/

I really love the WiiU, Rayman Legends is amazing on this console, but we really need more games.

@Ragna If you like platformers get Rayman Legends, it is amazing. I also hope that the WiiU version of Marvel Lego Superheroes offers more than a map on the WiiU controller. Rayman Legends makes the controller integral to the game, so hopefully they do that with this game.

Considering how many titles have actually been delayed, I think its pretty obvious that Nintendo are having development difficulties.
i think Iwata even admitted that the transition to HD was harder than expected (which is kind of lol worthy tbqh)

Will be interesting to see what affect mario 3d world has on hardware sales. especially since its tracking quite low in pre-orders for Japan.
Everything from Pikmin 3 onward has failed to kickstart the wiiu in any significant manner.

yeah.. I think I will just stick with the ps3/ 360 versions, in which I am not forced to play smartphone like levels and instead have more platforming instead. besides, controlling murphy in these versions also works really well with the platforming when playing as Rayman.

Dunno what makes you think that the levels that are "smart phone" like are any less fun than the pure platform levels. These levels are amazing and the ability to do a lot of the stuff using the controllers screen and gyroscope/accelerometer makes the game fun. I haven't tried MP yet, but that also looks like a ton of fun. I agree though that Ubi did well on the Vita version. It is fun to play and I do enjoy having the option

Development issues and underpowered hardware aside, this machine can be used in many creative and fun ways and that's what makes the games fun.

I think mainly because in those levels, I would rather be doing actual platforming gameplay (without needing MP) which Rayman got so right with Origins, instead of just touching the screen for some rather basic gameplay.

at least having teh choice. I hear the PSv version is the same which is pretty much why I havent bothered to pick it up.

Those Murphy levels are only fun when you have other people playing with you anyway
but at least the AI doesn't suck when you play alone

Only no2 is one ppl could relate to. This guy sounds more like someone who's not getting one, cause he was too eager to get a "next gen" console, so he went and bought a WiiU and now has no money to buy a PS 4/Xbox 1. I mean "My wife doesn’t respect me less for playing it" If I had to bring home a WiiU, plug it in, play a game and tell my wife it's a PS4, she's probably just shrug her shoulders and say (in a non interested, bored way) ok cool, she wouldn't know the difference Unless your wife's a gamer, chances are she wouldn't care which console you have, it'll irritate her the same which ever console you have.
