Batman Vs Superman over the weekend.
Pretty much agree with everything that has been said here about it. It was ok, not bad and not good.
Lex Luthors character was Terrible and had no clear motivation. Also hated how he jumped from being completely composed and confident in one scene and then a bubbling unfocused crazy person in the next. Not sure what they were going for there.
Batfleck was actually not bad. I don't generally like him as an actor as he never real convinces me of his character. Like I always think "hey its Ben Afleck on tv" and not the character he is portraying (does that make sense?). I didn't get that at all in this movie. He was Batman.
I don't have much to comment on about Superman.
Looking forward to Wonder Womens movie.
Filming wise there were a lot of very purposeful dramatic shots. These were not subtle at all and they were little too many for me. I get that these might have been a sort of homage to comic books and their stunning cover art and that film is its self an art form where the director chooses exactly what to have in a shot, but they just seemed out of place and forced to me.
A lot of the movie seems to have been cut out too. It all makes sense though, but you can tell they had to cut back on a lot of scenes to save on the total film time.
Biggest complaint for me is how stupid some of the actions of the characters were and how nonsensically some of the situations were. These seemed to just be put in place to drive the story forward or to add tension. Like how [spoilers] Superman and Wonder Women are hitting DoomsDay hard with their superpowers, but Batman is just waiting around doing nothing, watching thme instead of looking for the damn spear. Or how Lex Luthor (a non Kryptonian) somehow took control of the spaceship and all the knowledge archives with just General Zods fingerprints - some jacked up security right there. Those are the only 2 I can remember but there were a couple of times were I was just like "what!?"
Anyway. I didn't hate it and it entertained me for 2 and half hours, so for that it gets 6/10 from me
