Valor Mortis’s premise and gameplay design is right up my alley. It looks decent to be fair. @IkariX, are you picking up a copy?

Must-have physicals for me are - can be on any platform, but I'd buy these the moment they're announced:

End of Abyss
Phantom Blade Zero
The Drifter
Mina the Hollower
Look Outside
Silver Pines
No Rest for the Wicked

@Cathal

That's a bummer. I might give it a pass then. As much as I love Metro, this is just dumb

Their feedback on someone asking if the game will be on disc:

"METRO 2039 will require an initial download as the game does not fit fully on one disc. To make sure our community gets to experience the game at the same time, you will need an internet connection initially to unlock the game. The game does not otherwise require internet."

@AWXMEM132134 definitely is. Blown away by how good it is, coming from a dev that never made a game on this scale before.

@Tea enjoy Townfall, it's phenomenal. 2 Remake was also incredible. Can't believe we got 3 back to back banger Silent Hill games.

28 Days Later – I was led to believe that it's a Zoombie movie, but it wasn't. It has more in common with I Am Legend's infected weirdos. It was an entertaining flick, even though the cinematography drove me crazy. Watching Cillian Murphy's character change from a hapless bicycle messenger who was in a coma into a shirtless rambo halfway through the film cut the strings suspending my disbelief.

28 Weeks Later – Interesting sequel. A line in the first movie led you to believe the rage virus had spread to Paris and New York, but this film was built off of the premise that it was isolated to Britain. The music from John Murphy was stellar.

Zootropolis

WOW! Great movie and yet this story and message is hard hitting. Just need to say story and story concept and the issues they deal with, really stepping up the game in recent movies. Not as emotionally toying as The Good Dinosaur but still...

And the Oscar for best original story and best animation feature Film: Zootropolis/Topia... !love !love !love

Anomalina:

1) WTF
2) that "squeaky squeaky" scene and fondling was really unexpected
3) This was nominated for an Oscar?

a story about having a weekend affair, in an animation, that would of been cheaper to make as a film with people then an animation especially Stop-Mo... but that said, some of the scenes, the animation was superb with weighting, overlapping and anticipation to perfection... Great job, not a movie to watch with parents or new girlfriend and her parents....

Bear Story and Sanjey's Super Team (Shorts)

Bear Story,Oscar Winning Short - Nice story, great style and animation! Really well done and better then the Pixar Short Sanjey's Super Team.

Sanjey's was not bad at all, just it didnt feel like the other animations like Paperman and Lava...

Zootopia – Entertaining movie. I reckon it will be an instant Disney classic. Thankfully it's not built around a putrid, nauseating song and some princess figure. Has some decent messages too.

Another great Donnie Yen movie.
Excellent fights and great choreography.
Small gripes:
Trying to make each movie better than the last... I dunno, they just can't keep it up
One or two instances of obvious wire-work. Not sure why it was added

Batman Bad Blood - OK I guess but this Batman series is in decline at the moment.
Tammy - was funny for the first 10 minutes and then completely laugh free.
Hot Tub Time Machine 2 - nowhere near as good as the original but nowhere near as bad as some would have you believe. Had a few laughs especially with the Fringe joke.
Public Enemies - oldish movie about the gangster Dillinger. Great and Depp was outstanding.
Black Mass - Johnny Depp as another gangster. Great performance and a great movie about an unholy alliance between Boston Irish Mob and FBI's Boston office to bring down the mafia. Depp needs to do more movies like this and less of the crap he normally does.

Stretch - moderately interesting film by Joe Carnahan (Smokin' Aces). The Hof is awesome taking the piss out of himself again.

Ted 2 - was OK, not as funny as the first but still had some good laughs mostly with the cameos (Hof again!). The Jurassic Park homage was brilliant.

John Carpenter's The Thing - One of the greatest SF horrors ever made. Watching it for the umpteenth time. This movie just gets better with each viewing. Will round of Carpenter's apocalypse trilogy with Prince of Darkness.

Allegiant – Was a bit of a let down for the already bordering on B-grade series.

The first one was entertaining and could be described as goodish. The second suffered from some second movie syndrome, but was watchable, and this one was a complete filler as they cash in as much as possible from breaking the last film into two parts.

Jeff Daniels, who played a convincing role in Dumb and Dumber and Dumber and Dumber To, looked visibly pained to be a part of this project. That says a lot.

Even Shailene Woodley's good (albeit bored-looking) looks (definitely not her "acting") could save this one.

BvS Dawn of ... - NOw maye because my expectations were SO low, I didn't think that the film was terrible. Yes Lex Luthor is awful, with zero motivation or explanation for what he is doing besides, well I dunno. Yes Batman is not the Dark Knight Detective, but rather the Dark KNight Doofus for how easily he is manipulated. And Superman is still pretty [censored] emo.

However the action scenes aren't bad. The biggest problem is, again, shaky cam enhanced by everything taking place at night in darkly lit areas. That cool warehouse fight in the trailer, yeah you saw 90% of that already and that is the only "Batman" type fight in the film. The Superman fight is as it should be, clunky and heavy with a sense of heavyweights clashing. The Doomsday battle is frantic and fast paced with too many quick cuts. What we see of Wonder Woman is awesome in this battle. Gal Gadot fully embraces the character and is the shining light.

BatFleck is damn good as Batman given the [censored] material he has. He plays Batman as closely to DKR Batman as possible. This Batman is world weary and almost broken. Would've been nice if they played the film as Superman drawing Batman back to the light as this Batman is grim. They explain it through a throw away line from Alfred early, but his level of brutality and violence is just out of character. Again, Snyder DOES NOT get the characters. This Batman kills. Alot. With guns.

FInally the plot, oh boy is this a problem. The first act is damn, damn good, with great setup some nice interplay between Bruce and Diana and the conspiracy against Superman. But boy do they forget to give anyone besides Batman motivation to do what he does. Superman has zero self control and is full of angst, with bouts of self righteousness when he is Clark. You never figure out why Lex does what he does, he is almost JOker like here. There is also stuff that makes zero sense, like Lex's control of the film McGuffin.

All in all I would say the film is a 5.5/10 for me and I was expecting to hate it as much as I did MoS, so there's that.

Has everybody already forgotten that Tim Burton's Batman killed. With Guns. And bombs. And setting bad guys on fire, among other things. About time as far as I'm concerned. Maybe we can stop with this revolving villain door.

Luthor was terrible, definitely agree on that. But that's what they wanted him to be.

There needed to be more action though, though I'm guessing the definitive R-rated blu-ray version is where all of that will be, which was a bad move for them. They should have released that version in the cinema. As it stands, it felt like there was a lot left out.

My biggest problem with the movie, is that this should have been the third movie in DC's series. They should have done MoS, MoS 2, this, and then JL. Because they didn't, the ending didn't have the emotional heft it should have.

Other than that, I really enjoyed it. I'm glad they're taking a different tone to Marvel.

Also, did they just establish that Gotham is across the river from Metropolis

Did anyone else get that Cyborg's father was also Skynet's dad?

@DG Noone forgot and I was around in '89 and the same criticisms came up. It has been long established that Batman doesn't use guns or kill. Before '89 the last time he used a gun was in the '30's in the first few issues of Detective. That is why the cover to DKR 2 or 3 was so striking as it showed Batman aiming down the barrel of a gun. Turned out it was a grapple gun, but that shook the readers and got them interested.

Yep, in this universe Gotham is across the bay and yep noticed that Miles Dyson played Cyborg's dad/creator
