TGA 2018 - Supergiant Games Reveals New Title, Hades
In the event that saw the unveiling of several new IP's, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Indie Developer Supergiant Games has announced their new game titled Hades. In the trailer, we see the god of death delivering an ominous warning to whomever is watching, only to find out that this warning is being delivered to his son - whom we play.
From the looks of it, the game revolves around Greek mythology and has you trying to defy said god of death to battle your way out of hell. It offers a gameplay experience akin to Transistor - only with more of an emphasis on hack and slash as well as rogue-like elements.
As of now, the game looks like it's shaping up to be a solid time, boasting visuals that are perfectly in line with what we have grown used to when Supergiant Games is at the helm. As an added surprise, the game is already available on Early Access through the Epic Games store. I’d honestly recommend it - Hades looks absolutely gorgeous and you can experience it for a pretty reasonable price tag of approximately R300 as of the writing of this article.
