During the PlayStation State of Play event this morning, Sony announced the first ever Limited Edition PS5 DualSense Controller designed after God of War Ragnarok. While the controller is pretty much the same thing when it comes to what it can do, the design of the accessory is unlike anything we have seen up to now.
Sony has in the past released multiple shades of its DualSense Controller. However, only the top half of the controller has actually changed in colour. The bottom half has remained black with the same analogue stick colours. For the first time, the DualSense Controller is getting a complete overhaul when it comes to its colour palette.

The new God of War Ragnarok DualSense Controller features a new two-tone design with a cool blue top half and an icy white bottom exterior. The buttons are also dark blue instead of the same cool blue. Other DualSense Controllers simply use the same colour as the top shell merging the buttons into the face. Sony has gone with a different approach here.
Of course, the main draw for this God of War Ragnarok DualSense Controller is the touchpad decals. It features a bear and wolf insignia which represents Kratos and Atreus.
Sony says the God of War Ragnarok DualSense Controller is set to launch on the same day as the game. This means gamers will get their hands on this device on 9 November 2023. We are waiting for the South African pricing and pre-order information to arrive.
