At the recent Ubisoft Forward E3 2021 event, the studio finally announced a release date for their upcoming extreme sports MMO, Riders Republic, launching on September 2nd, 2021 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC, along with cross-play support.

In the nearly five minute trailer, Ubisoft detailed several of the key sports, events, and features that will be coming to the live-service title at launch. Among the many extreme sports included in Riders Republic, players will be able to experience biking, snowboarding, wing suiting and more. Ubisoft also announced a variety of modes coming to the game, with more than 50 players being able to compete in certain races for current-gen consoles, along with six vs. six trick battles in confined, colourful arenas.
In addition to pulling off awesome air tricks, combos and more, you’ll also be able to fully customize the look of your custom-created character. This includes several options for gear, clothing, boards, bikes, wingsuits, and other accessories. Look good in Riders Republic‘s harsh environments as well, featuring steep slopes on mountain paths for bikes, and snowy alps on large mountains for snowboarders. It’s all quite reminiscent of another Ubisoft extreme sports title, Steep, though seems to offer a lot more for players to customize and toy around with.
Ubisoft finally announced that Riders Republic will come with cross-play support at launch on all platforms, including allowing players to carry over their progress via cross-progression. It’s a welcomed addition to this extreme sports title that will surely please fans who’d want to play with their friends on different platforms, or otherwise, carry over their progression from one console to the next if they have multiple platforms.
Will defend anything Dragon Ball. Occasionally has two-way conversations with himself. Has sleepless nights about Half-Life 3 confirmed.
