Quick guide to all Starlink: Battle for Atlas physical parts

by Vincent Kühl on 08 October, 2018

    1   2

With Starlink: Battle for Atlas almost upon us, here's a quick guide to all the different physical parts of the game, including the essential components and the nice-to-haves.

First up is the Starlink: Battle for Atlus Starter Edition, which comes with everything you need, all neatly packaged into one box. The Starter Edition comes with the following items: a ship, a controller mount, a pilot for your ship, three weapons, and a poster. Take note that this edition also provides digital versions of the physical items. Parts and pilots can be swapped out via an in-game interface, as opposed to the physical swapping on the controller mount.

Secondly, we have the ship packs. These packs come bundled with a ship, a pilot, and a single weapon. Something to keep in mind is that these packs are not console-specific, meaning they will work on whichever platforms you choose to play.

Thirdly, there are weapons packs. These little packs come with two additional weapons for you to use. If you're just looking for or want additional weapons with different elements, this will be the pack for you. Or, if you just want a cool looking weapon for your fancy ship, this pack is also the right choice.

Last up, we have the pilot packs. These tiny packs contain just a single pilot but each pilot will have an unique ability that they can use in the game.

A co-op controller mount is also available if you want to play the game co-op locally.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas is set to release on October 16 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Keep an eye on the site for our Starlink: Battle for Atlas review.

It looks great and looks like an awesome time to play. But all the "extra" stuff you need to physically buy just puts me off. Sad because it looks awesome
