Ironic thing. There is going to be an album for GTA6. And it will be available on both CD and Vinyl.

So clearly it's about control for Sony and Rockstar, not wanting you to own games. But you can own a CD and Vinyl. Both are crappy companies. I really want to see Sony crash and burn so hard. But the way Sony is going, it might be sooner, rather than later.

Quake Reboot in Development by id Software - Rumour

Quake remains one of the most celebrated first-person shooter franchises in gaming history, with the series being part of the wave of shooters in the 90s that spearheaded the genre as we know it, next to the likes of Doom and Wolfenstein. It seems like id Software, who were responsible for bringing Doom back to life with the 2016 reboot and Doom Eternal, will now develop a Quake reboot that will include both single-player and multiplayer.

Speaking on the latest episode of " class="general_link" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" >XboxEra podcast, co-founder of XboxEra Shpeshal Nick stated that id Software were currently developing a Quake reboot that will include a single-player campaign as well as multiplayer, with Wolfenstein developer MachineGames assisting in its development. The story will also feature a female protagonist. Nick is a reputable source of information as he correctly called a number of reveals in the past, including Hades coming to Xbox Game Pass and a few PlayStation Plus game line-ups. As with all rumours, though, take this with a grain of salt until Bethesda or id Software are ready to reveal the game.

This is quite an interesting rumour too, as Quake has also been long-dormant by id Software, with some attempts to break into esports to little effect. It makes sense that they'd want to reboot the series in the same vein as 2016's Doom, as it would certainly play to the developer's strengths of making excellent first-person shooters.

Due to Xbox's acquisition of Bethesda and id Software, it's also very likely that this Quake reboot will be exclusive to Xbox Series X/S and PC. Xbox would certainly gain a lot from a Quake reboot as it makes sense for the company (who built their brand on mostly having solid first-person shooters), and would be a big win for Microsoft. We'll also finally get a new single-player campaign for Quake, as the last game to have a proper campaign was Quake 4, which launched over 15 years ago.

Sort of hyped and conflicted. I dug the idTech 3 engine games like Doom 3 and Quake 4 (pacing issue sure, but so underrated), though I also enjoy the twitch shooting of Quake 1/2. If they go the Doom Eternal route, it's more likely to be classic-styled I guess.
