EA Plans to Publish 14 Games Before April 2021, Confident in Next-Gen
Electronic Arts has big plans for the next fiscal year, promising some heavy-hitting titles on the way - 14, in total, will be published by the company before April 2021. The news comes from a recent investors call, where EA detailed their plans for the next fiscal year. However, the biggest takeaway was EA's devotion to publishing over a dozen upcoming games - and we have some titles to already speculate over.

The full report details EA's plans to publish 14 games: four of those titles will be sports games including new entries in FIFA and Madden, four will be internally developed games from various IPs, four indie games through EA Originals, and two mobile games. COO Blake Jorgensen went into a little more detail regarding some of these titles, including the next Battlefield:
"Looking forward to FY 2021 [...] we anticipate live services to be the primary growth driver, followed by the launch of new content across a broad range of genres. We're launching four sports titles, including new games in our blockbuster FIFA and Madden franchises, four other titles that draw from the breadth of our IP, and we'll also publish four titles globally from smaller developers. We also expect two new mobile titles to make it into soft launch. We expect growth to accelerate in fiscal 2022 as we leverage the growing install base of next-generation consoles with the launch of a new Battlefield. This is on top of the launches of FIFA 22 and Madden 22, plus new and ongoing live services and other titles."
GamesIndustry.biz reveals that, on top of the next Battlefield installment, EA will also push forward with the next Dragon Age game, and an unannounced new Star Wars game which some rumours indicate could be a potential third installment in the Knights of the Old Republic series.
EA remains confident that their list of upcoming games will "blow people's minds" as they grasp the potential of next-gen hardware. Jorgensen elaborates, "I don't want to get ahead of our great partners Microsoft and Sony, but you should assume that the power of those consoles are going to be a lot better than the power of the existing consoles, which means a really simple thing, we can do a lot more."
