Comic Con Africa 2025 is only a few days away, bringing four days of awesome geek and pop culture festivities to Johannesburg each year. One of the key attraction points for Comic Con Africa every year is its lineup of international celebrity talents and guests. This year, fans of Supernatural, The Boys, Fantastic Beasts and more will get a chance to meet some of their favourite actors. Here’s all the international guests you can expect at Comic Con Africa this year.

Comic Con Africa 2025 International Guests

Misha Collins (29-30 August)


Misha Collins is an actor, director, producer, writer, and activist dedicated to inspiring cultural and civic engagement through works that “game-ify” philanthropy, inspire creativity, and promote social good.

Collins is also the creator of GISH, the Guinness World Record-holding global scavenger hunt which uses creativity to “game-ify” goodwill and generate social change. GISH is played in over 100 countries, with tens of thousands of annual participants. Among other successes, in the past seven years GISH participants have collaborated to save endangered rain forests, support Syrian refugees, and assist at-risk youth in Africa.

Misha is founder and one of three artists who comprise The Art Department, an artist’s collaborative which creates large-scale public art installations in unexpected places. The Art Department has been heralded for their work in Southern California by “Time Out-LA”, “The LA Weekly”, “LA Times” and ABC National News.

Jessie T. Usher (29-31 August)


Jessie was inspired to act at an early age. When his family moved to Los Angeles in 2003, he landed guest-star roles in numerous television shows including Without a Trace, Numbers, the Mentalist, Criminal Minds, Lincoln Heights, Hannah Montana and Summer Camp. Jessie’s first big break came in 2011 playing the lead role of Lyle Hugginson in Cartoon Network’s television movie called Level Up. The project became a well-loved TV series and Jessie reprised his role throughout the show’s 2 seasons.

Chioma Umeala (28-30 August)


Chioma Umeala is a Nigerian-South African actress known for her role as Ayo on Isono, BET Africa’s multilingual scripted and English sub-titled daily drama series.

Trained at AFDA and the Indigo View Academy for Advanced Actors, Chioma made her film debut on a student film, “Look Closer” which was released in 2017, and her stage debut at Joburg Theatre with the production “Scene” in 2018.

Dan Fogler (29-31 August)


Dan Fogler made his Broadway debut when he originated the role of William Barfée in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, for which he won the Theatre World Award for the original off-Broadway production and the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical in 2005 for the original Broadway production.

Fogler has also done a variety of voiceover acting in films such as; Horton Hears A Who! along with Steve Carell and Jim Carrey, Disney’s Mars Needs Moms, Free Birds and 2008’s Kung Fu Panda, with Jack Black and Jackie Chan.

Hysterical Psycho was Fogler’s first graphic novel. In 2010, Archaia Entertainment published the horror anthology Moon Lake. This collection of stories chronicles the past, present, and future of the most haunted town on Earth: Moon Lake. Fogler is also hard at work on another graphic novel, Brooklyn Gladiator.

Julie Caitlin Brown (31 August)


Julie Caitlin Brown was born on January 27, 1961 in San Francisco, California, USA. She is an actress and talent agent, known for Babylon 5 (1993), Thoughts of Suicide on an Otherwise Lovely Day (2010) and Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987).
