Borderlands 3 Reveal Teased for PAX East

@phreak - that I understand. Rabid defenders are rarely better than those that hate on a game. If you like a game or series, it makes sense you want to discuss what it could have done better or where it might go in the future.

Think people have become to comfortable with giving simplistic aggressive responses, attaching a strong emotion to it as justification, then calling it a day.

I will never deny that the FF7 remake games have good graphics, runs well and a great combat system.
Those parts are really well done. It's other things I don't like

I'm just tired of being insulted for not liking changes I feel are disrespectful to the original. Changes I won't talk about here due to spoilers.

@phreak @IcariX - Everyone is entitled to their opinions but personally I am excited for Revelations. I never played the OG FFVII until 2006ish.

Loved it, but the remakes are even better. The combat, graphics and party interactions are great.

Played Remake and while it does have its slow parts i.e walking simulator. It's still a great game. Played Rebirth last month only and it was even better, much more exploration, and yes while there is a ton of side content - most of it is optional.

It was a joy to see Zack again and play as him. and I think in the remakes Aerith's characterisation is miles better than Tifa.

I am hyped for Revelations and cant wait for more.

I am not a purist so do not care much with the story changes, by the end of the trilogy I doubt there will be any crazy differences to the actual ending of FFVII.

Resonance will be my GOTY though, I can see it already.

Elitism is fine except when people lose sense of the context in which games (or any other media) are made.

We're shifting into a bipolar market - maybe exacerbated by social media - where things are near perfect and therefore worth money/time, or people fixate on flaws without considering things like the developers cultural setting, size, budget, development time, and publisher influence.

Increasingly problematic when a few flaws lead to small teams (and sometimes bigger ones) collectively trashed for one or two elements with no regard given for everything else the games/series/movie does well.

Does not bode well as that ultimately means more safe bets and more homogenisation (especially in the console market where creative indie titles don't sell nearly as many copies as on PC).

I can't wait for Resonance. But the more I hear Square Enix talk about Revelations, the less I'm interested in playing it.

I've been called an elitist as well. But the whole Remake trilogy so far feels like poorly written fanfiction. I hope Square Enix stays far far far away from Final Fantasy VIII

Being called an "elitist" because I don't like the changes from the original isn't fair. I LOVE FF, it's my fav game series, but am I not allowed to voice my displeasure things in about it I don't like?

Borderlands 3 Reveal Teased for PAX East

Borderlands 3 remains one of gaming's greatest mysteries. The beloved looter-shooter series has gained a massive cult following since the release of the first game, and its sequel, which solidified its place in the hall of gaming greats. Developer Gearbox has now possibly teased a reveal for Borderlands 3, and it might happen sooner than we think.

Gearbox will be attending PAX East this year, which kicks off on March 28th. The studio will be having their own Gearbox Panel, but has teased something more than just mandatory updates and news. The official description for the Gearbox Panel is as follows:

"This is your opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at Gearbox Software and Gearbox Publishing, along with the latest news and updates from the makers of Borderlands, Battleborn, Brothers in Arms, and more! We will have never-before-seen reveals, exclusives, and surprises, so don't miss out!"

The internet ignited with excitement at the mention of "never-before-seen" reveals, which could indicate that Gearbox plans on revealing the long-awaited Borderlands 3 this year. After all, many websites have already reported on the fact that the game might actually be well in development over at the studio, so it's only a matter of time before we get an official announcement. PAX East seems like the ideal place to finally pull the curtain back on Borderlands 3, though we recommend toning down your expectations as there's a good possibility that they won't be showcasing anything related to the series.

If PAX East doesn't prove fruitful, then it's a safe bet that Borderlands 3 might take the stage at E3 2019. With Sony dropping out of this year's show, Microsoft's stage could play host to the reveal. However, we must stress again that none of this is set in stone, but we're fairly confident that we'll be hearing something from Gearbox at PAX East regarding a new Borderlands game - perhaps even a developer update.

Borderlands 3 is speculated to be in development.

@Lurch As much as I hate looter-shooters in general, the Borderlands games (especially 2) have come the closest to being competent. Plus they're just really fun.

Here's hoping Gearbox - especially after the underwhelming response Battleborn got - can still demonstrate to other devs how to make a looter-shooter that isn't an insufferable grind, devoid of personality and novelty..
