Hi @Tea, hope you are well. When does Stellar Blade for Switch 2 come up for pre-order? Thanks

@Vernon

I like Crimson Desert a lot. It amazing, but I put it down because I got tired of the constant almost daily patches. So I'll restart it at some point in the future once the game's development is actually finished.

And I'm not paying the asking price for the DLC. I don't spend more than R180 on any digital game or dlc.

Crimson Desert is a close second, but that Story put me off a bit too much, but Gameplay and Exploration was equally satisfying, cant wait for Charting the Unknown next month

@IkariX

I am excited to see how this story develops. The lore, the world building, the Witcher Come Deliverance (stole this description but its perfect) combat, its just great, what an incredible game.

I even completely stopped playing Onimusha because I just want to do the next quest or explore the world, fantastic game, possibly my favorite so far this year.

@Vernon1711

I'm not getting Wolverine. I have no interest in Sony's 1st party slop, and even less interest in Marvel slop

But I am enjoying the hell out of Blood Of The Dawnwalker. I'm playing on Duelist difficulty, it's a lot of fun. Challenging but the fights are super fun. Boiling blood is just too OP, even on Duelist

Good Morning All

Happy Friday

I need this day to end to continue The Blood of Dawnwalker, game is addictive

Also, Marvel's Wolverine seems to be doing good on Metacritic, not great, thoughts everyone? I am still looking forward to playing it

Amazon Faces Backlash After Using AI For Anime English Dubs

by Sam Aberdeen on 01 December, 2025

      1

Amazon is facing backlash from the anime community for its use of AI in the English dubS of anime such as Banana Fish, Vinland Saga and No Game No Life Zero. Fans have been quite vocal against it, calling out the AI-generated dubs as soulless and lacking depth that actual human voice actors could’ve brought to the shows. Amazon has yet to officially respond to the outcry.

The anime Banana Fish was released in 2018 and tackled heavy and sensitive subject matter that the anime community at the time really appreciated. It was later called one of the best shows of that year, though it lacked an English dub for several years until now. Amazon recently released an English dub for the series on its streaming service, Prime Video, but it used AI-generated voice acting instead of real performers.

On the other hand, both Vinland Saga and No Game No Life Zero already have official English dubs (performed by real voice actors), so it’s strange that Amazon decided to essentially re-dub both titles with AI-generated English voice acting on its streaming service.

The AI “voice acting” is awful, to say the least. It’s monotonous, dull and doesn’t successfully convey any emotion present in high-tension scenes throughout each show. Known voice actor and director Daman Mills expressed his frustration on a recent X post, stating:

“Amazon’s choice to use AI to dub Banana Fish is a massive insult to us as performers. AI continues to threaten livelihoods of performers in EVERY language (yes even Japanese performers who are also incredibly vocal on this topic). Voice Actors deserve the same level of respect as on camera performers. Anime already pays talent very little. Dub production costs shouldn’t make a dent in these companies’ pocket books.”

“Using AI for a dub of a show that released nearly 8 YEARS AGO AND HAD NO RUSHED SCHEDULE just spits in our faces, has infuriated the consumer, and completely destroys the art,” Mills added. “All they’ve done is make a [censored] product and pissed off a lot of people.”

The response from the anime community to Amazon’s terrible AI dub of Banana Fish (which used AI for both its English and Spanish versions) has been of unanimous anger and frustration. Many see this as Amazon’s attempt to “test the waters” for AI dubs of more popular shows in the future which I sincerely hope isn’t the case.

YouTuber Otaku Spirit presents a more detailed breakdown of the debacle which you can watch below:

So much legality that needs testing. Rubbish as they may be, if AI is trained using clips from paid and consenting voice actors, I'd begrudgingly accept it as the publisher's prerogative. Same if artwork is constructed by training AI on studio artwork and materials.

I want to see some legal discussion of how we deal with AI voice overs and artwork trained on trawling the internet and taking content from people with consent.
