I see Rage has been added to the BC list. I'm looking at it right now on XBL (22.3GB btw). Scorchers DLC comes highly recommended if it you missed out previously.

@Scottie Rage as in the id shooter/racing game hybrid? Thought it was pretty dismal, the engine being the only thing of any value

@Magius - it was the id shooter with some racing bits. It was great but ended prematurely/weirdly. I see it has been BC for a while (must check the list out to see if I missed anything else). but this is the first time you can buy it digitally.

RAGE was actually quite good. Starting wasn't so great and there was a cliffhanger sequel ending, but it played quite well.

Assassin's Creed Rogue is now BC - if you loved Black Flag you will love this too.

@Magius - I second DG's opinion. It's a weird FPS-RPG-Racing hybrid in which upgrades are both simple yet frequent enough to satisfy. The game shamelessly uses main mission locations for side quests, but the shooting is really satisfying. Biggest weakness are some of the driving modes that can feel chaotic and victory is often down to luck (a checkpoint scoring mode being the worst).

If you do pick it up, take Scotties advice and grab The Scorchers DLC which is dirt cheap but adds a ton of content.

Those controllers look really nice, MS may be falling further behind on SW, but their HW is very good. Only thing I would've though would make its way to these controllers by now would be some of the Elite features, like the rear paddles. I wouldn't expect the customisation (swapping of analogue stics etc), but I expected that fixed paddles and maybe built in memory for two profiles would have been incorporated into cheaper models. Maybe that will come with Scorpio...

@KF my thoughts exactly when I saw them. The Razer is pretty much an XBO controller with the audio controls and the shape, but the quality looks terrible. All they have to do is take an Elite and copy the damn thing! The way they do the paddles on the Nacon and the Raiju just aren't as nice as the Elite's

So MS is doing something right here, this 100% needs to be done by Sony almost immediately

R7 500-00 no way I will ever pay that amount of money for one… Then you still need your monthly internet connection, games to play and the subscription to all the service providers…

On the price note, let's be frank, R7.5k is not completely insane given the specs. The PRo launched at R6k - R6.5k, The XBO and PS4 were around R5.5k on launch four to five years ago. Heck I remember a friend buying a PS2 on launch for about R5k. way back in 2001/2002. Building a comparatively similar spec PC from scratch is going to run you closer to R20k (incl OS etc, but not a 4K monitor). R7.5k is not that unreasonable given all these factors.

We each have make the pricing decision based on our wants and means. I have a 4K TV, but have no desire to get a 4K console, I don't see the benefit just yet. Maybe with the true next gen consoles I'll see the benefit, but let's wait and see.
