Should they day arrive that I've got no classic titles left to play, mine's getting shrink-wrapped and returned to the TV cabinet again when my (as of yet unborn) children hit console-gaming age!

LOL got a brand new Slim in the box, sigh an then BC.

Nice tribute at Eurogamer to the Xbox 360

Iron Man XBox. The Arc Reactor lights up. Xbox France is giving one away. Can't see any restrictions on who can enter.

Not so keen on the white controller though...

I would've though Red and Gold myself, nice though

Heads up guys, a couple of buddies got emails last night confirming that XBL monthly membership from 30 June would increase from R50/month to R159/month. I was on twitter with Mike Futter from Gameinformer and he was able to confirm the increases.

Annual is going to increase from around R600 to R979, that R250 more than PS+ currently.

If you do the math using current spot this brings us in line with the US price of $10/month for monthly. Assume the same for annual subs. Finally this is hitting Austria, Sweden, Turkey and Israel as well.

... This is going to cause an interesting argument between XBL and PS+ kids...

That's a harsh climb tho...

@Llama This has come from HO and not MS SA, according to a journo I was chatting to last night when he contacted local guys they had no idea this was coming! Think MS just decided we haven't adjusted prices like we should, everyone needs to pay the same, let's increase prices across the board. They didn't think about this at all

@Magius

Jip, but it seems to be the new trend when it comes to online game... I think this is one way the companies are trying to make the money they for instance loose on digital buys and things like that

That said, a price jump on the Per Month is harsh! But lets see what the official word is then the we can see... maybe they are planning something bigger to make people understand the price increase...

Well the emails I read that they sent out had no real reason other than the usual PR gumpf about value for money and service etc. We will get nothing more, guaranteed.

ouch...

A nice set of Games with Gold next month, although two were released on PS+ last year.

Goat Simulator - a fun game, just try it!
Super Meat Boy - amazing platformer and hard as hell. Released on PS+ last year
XCom Enemy Unknown - great turn based tactical game. Wonderfully implemented controls. Would've preferred Enemy Within which is essentially the same game with extra units and tweaked engine, but this is a great game. Also released on PS+ last year
The Crew - Ubi's racing game that had a big launch at E3 a couple of years back and an intriguing premise, but ended up being a pretty shallow game. I picked it up when Ubi gave us a free game to make up for the poor launch of Unity.
