Can Zebb, Luke’s co pilot from Empire Strikes back be Poe Dameron father?

I have not really had any chance to Google this, so I can’t really confirm this.

I really enjoyed it, but kind of like how I enjoy comfort food.

To me the movie felt like a Star Wars film as closely followed the template of "A New Hope" (with a few scenes that felt straight out of "The Empire Strikes Back"). Overall every scene played out as expected and the only thing that didn't happen was someone losing an arm/hand.

Definitely a good movie to introduce a new generation to Star Wars.

My biggest problem with the movie is how she used the force. 12 hours before using the Jedi Mind Trick, she has not yet even known about the force, yet she is able to perform the trick on a stormtrooper, who is not even looking at her. And without waving the hand (as per previous movies). Also, she is able to use the force, to pull the light-saber towards her, and overpowering a person who had a lot of training in the force.

Really. And also, Kylo Ren uses the force to essentially stop a laser in the middle of the air, but he has to fight a person, with no affinity with the force (Fin). He could have just used the force to Choke Fin. There are so many gaps in this part of the film.

Yes, if she was able to resist the mind probe, I could understand that, but how she just went from the force does not exist to complete control over the force is stupid.

Also, why was Leia not trained in the force? She was just as strong if not stronger than Luke, why in the hell would she not train in the force.

This is what I felt missing in the movie.

Ah Dec 2017 so only 6 months. Thought you said 2018...

It felt more like reboot to me than a true sequel. I do have high hopes for the next ones though.

Bit confused here…each of the movies was schedules for December release each year.

The tie in / standalone movies were scheduled for March and June releases.

@Sandman Star Wars traditionally comes out in May, hence May the 4th etc. Ep7 was supposed to be May 2015 IIRC but Abrams and Kennedy had argued with the Disney guys about this saying they needed more time. Up until yesterday Ep8 was scheduled for May as well. AFAIK Ep9 is still on for May 2018, but that will probably be pushed back now. Rogue One etc are on schedule with Rogue one to be released on Dec 16.

Thought it was 2018 but I could be wrong. I expect that to move back to December as well. There doesn't seem to be much competition in December so SW can have that period all to itself.

I remember reading on another movie based website that it had been pushed back for major rewrites, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I can't find that link though.
