I have gone all in in terms of my optimism. Bought a ticket for the 11am show tomorrow to go along with my 5pm and 8pm tickets. I am so [censored] if this movie sucks ass.

I am hoping probably too optimistically that this becomes as much of a cultural milestone as Jaws and Star Wars in the 70's. If not at least I can say I did something silly for once

I could never do that. I tried two movies in one day once, what a terrible experience, which had nothing to do with the movies standard.

I have done three films in one day before, just felt like losing myself in another world and not dealing with people. No big deal. The same 1 three times in one day, that I admit is somewhat nuts ;P

Film's good guys, no sign of lens flare or any odd Phantom Menace type idiocy. JJ did a good job. SFX are great, there is humour, lots of it but not out of place and the actors actually have chemistry. I have some small nits with the story, but will wait for a few days and see if I still feel that way after the second and third viewing

If anyone was on the fence afraid of a Disneyfied or even a prequel type film, you have zero to worry about.

Force Awakens was good. What little story there was. But overall still good. Not as good as Empire though.

I'd give Force Awakens 6.5 or 7 / 10

Slightly disagree with Kylo, movie is probably an 8.5 for me. It is no Empire but as good as Star Wars and better than Jedi.
