Quick question how exactly will a person be able to play ps3 games on a ps4 will you be able to download them from the psn store or play them via the cloud system ??

Unless Sony has changed things, it will still be the same as when they announced the machine and it's functions. So that means PS3 games will be streamed to the PS4.

Cool cos there's still a few ps3 games I wanna get with most of them coming out before dec so I should be able to buy and finish them before the ps3 launches in sa the only game on ps3 I want that's coming next year is los2 and maybe stick of truth cos that game has been delayed for ages so I'm considering to keep my ps3 a while longer instead of selling it around nov to fund the ps4

Only select games are coming to gaikai as the service slowly rolls out from 2014.

not buying PS3 games expecting them to come onto the Gaikai service (which you might need to pay for) is not a smart move.

It is also worth noting that Gaikai only has servers in the US.

SK are striving for a launch in time for Xmas, but cannot confirm. However, that large games retailer that starts with a B and ends with Games, is prepping for a midnight launch on the 12th of December I.e. A week's delay from the original 6th. Article in link above says store reps have confirmed midnight launch plans.

Yeah and all PS3 games are supposed to be 25gig or bigger =p The games are brand new. I remember the first ps3 and 360 games that came out people where like 12 - 13gig holy[censored] OAO!!!

50gb will pretty soon seem like the stuff now. And hey download the first 5 - 10 gig and start playing while it downloads the rest. Space wise eh external lol

Will you be able to store your downloaded files on external? Would be a right pain if you need to re-download a game because you ran out of space...

I honestly wish I could be more excited about this news

On the space thing, I recon they'll soon launch a ps4 with a few tb of space. Remember the original ps3's came with 40gb and 60gb... I'm still rocking an 80gb one.
