Hey @Tea, any chance you can organise a copy of Silent Hill Origins for me? Doesn't matter which platform

@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

Theres no way Sony was ever going to have PS4K have exclusive content or cut off the large existing PS4 userbase.
But always good to hear this in the rumours nonetheless.

"The documents reportedly note that there will be no NEO-only games and NEO mode cannot include exclusive features unavailable in the base version, so you won’t end up missing out on new releases or content if you can’t afford or choose not to upgrade."

Thats all I'm worried about!

That's good, but then why TF upgrade now. More stable framerates? Something here just doesn't gel for me. I can understand an new SKU to include the VR co-processing HW in the unit so you don't have two units in your entertainment unit, but just to improve framerate and enable better 1080p gameplay sounds like a weird reason for this.

This is almost as if Sony were going the upgrade route, realised that people would be upset and decided let's just push out a system that isn't required but can be used. Either go with a modular, incrementally better system or don't.

It's incidental to getting UHD Bluray players into the market. It's that simple.

@KF don't think so as I am assuming that they will stop manufacturing the current SKU, so instead of a slim we are getting NEO (Notice the Matrix theme in code names?) Unless I get struck by lightning again I won't change my PS4.

@Scottie IMO a dumb way to do it. Just release a slim with upgraded drive to push 4k media adoption. Splitting your game playing base could backfire spectacularly. Imagine UC4 having two different "versions" (MP at 1080p and 60FPS on NEO and 720P and 60FPS in old PS4s) That 35m install base for the old PS4 will lose their[censored]

Eurogamer says it's confirmed.

CPU - Eight Jaguar cores clocked at 1.6GHz vs Eight Jaguar cores clocked at 2.1GHz = 1.3x

GPU - 18 Radeon GCN compute units at 800MHz vs 36 'improved' GCN compute units at 911MHz = 2.3x FLOPs

Memory - 8GB GDDR5 at 176GB/s vs 8GB GDDR5 at 218GB/s = 24% more bandwidth, 512MB more useable memory

PS No mention of UHD Blu-ray player

Must Read article - will annoy many though

How PlayStation Neo and the original PS4 will co-exist

"However, In terms of hard and fast technical guidelines for Neo rendering, Sony offers this:

Games running in Neo mode must operate at a native rendering resolution of 1920x1080 (1080p) or higher.
A game's frame-rate must meet or exceed its equivalent performance level on base PlayStation 4 hardware.

It seems that there are no new guidelines for ensuring rendering or performance standards on the existing PlayStation 4. One worry is that emphasis may shift to Neo, resulting in poorer experiences for the older hardware. "

All PS4 games will work regardless of which PS4 version you have.

^ Lots of people on the forum are really unhappy about not playing the most optimized version of a game. I'm more pragmatic but I consider not having a UHD drive, if true, to be a mistake (UHD blu rays are up to 100GB).

Silly question time...
I want to get Dark cloud 2 (Dark Chronicle) of the PSN network for PS4
It's not available on our PSN (Sa? version)
But it is available on the American one
So do I need to create a new account, buy american credits and then buy the game for that account?
On a side note, any idea when we can buy the game in SA without to money laundering?

@Teb - Dark Chronicle is on SA store for R218/3.2GB. Was on sale a few weeks ago at half price (with most PS2 classics)

SA store uses UK names

e.g. Bully = Canis Canem Edit

A US account is useful as they have a ton of sales and the prices tend to be cheaper than our store even with conversion issues. You need to create a fake US ID, there are ton of fake name and address generators on Google, and set it up so that you use vouchers instead of a card to make purchases.

Might as well ask...
Is there any way to download PS4 games on my pc (abusing work internet) and then install it at home? Like Steam, where it just verifies your files and activates the game?
I'm NOT trying to !arrr , Would just like to save my internet cap a bit...

@Teb Nope is the simple answer. I know with the Vita we could do that initially, but they quickly removed it. Your other option is to bring your PS4 to work and plug it in...
