@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

For niche titles it's okay. Problem is I play mainly bigger titles. Games are expensive enough as is. If I can save 50 bucks, use my ebucks (which some retailers allow) then I'm definitely going with another retailer.

Basically if I have to choose between paying delivery or not I'm going to go for not paying for delivery. On top of that, I find my Nexus orders are usually delayed. I don't think I've ever received a game on release day which is annoying when you're paying extra for delivery especially. And often you have to ask where it is which I don't think the customer should have to do, that's part of customer service.

Shame dude. It is, however time to upgrade to 64bit. Almost all games i see require that now.

One issue I discovered during an infuriating session last night: the term "take down" is used pretty interchangeably in this game for subdue or kill... Played a "Fixer Contract" and had to chase and "take down" a target (killing him resulted in failure, so melee takedown was required) and then tried to play a "criminal convoy" mission that also asked me to "take down" the target before he reached his destination. After numerous attempts to isolate the guy from his numerous, heavily-armed escorts and melee him (resulting in my death many times), I realised the game didn't care if you used lethal force so I just created a roadblock, went into focus mode, shot him through the window, drove off.

^^That's bad news for some of us...I did not enjoy Sleeping Dogs one bit.

This game seems to have more mixed feelings than Bound By Flame, although Watch Dogs are more "disappointed" related than "pure crap".

Sleeping Dogs was cool!!
Watch Dogs has not lived up to all the hype that many ppl expected!
They thought it would be on par with GTAV, or maybe even better! Not so, nothing can beat GTAV!

I'm upping my system to 64-bit today (a friend is lending me his windows 7 disk seeing as he upped to win8)

Watch_dogs is the first to demand 64-bit only. most other games are 32/64 friendly

I think this is a game that one should play and decide for yourself. Reason I say this, is that I've read such cool stuff about the game, although a lot less than the bad stuff, but the cool stuff sounds pretty amazing!

Sleeping dogs sucked ass imo...as for GTA V, it'll take years it seems for someone to be able to compete with it. I honestly thought Watch Dogs was gonna give GTA a run for its money.

*I'm also wondering if playing it online wouldn't be where it really shines?

I hate the fact that I now need 3 separate "stores" on my system, but I understand Ubi and EAs business motivation. If they control their supply chain, they make more cash. I remember when Steam first came out with HL2, it was[censored] and everyone hated it. Hell I only played HL2 3 years ago because I refused to use Steam. They will get better, they just need to do that a lot quicker.

^^No doubt...but EA and Ubi are not Mickey Mouse companies, they should have better services than they currently have I will admittedly say, EA's customer support is out of this world!!! I had 2 previous issues and these guys were swift, sufficient and extremely helpful!

While I hate uPlay with a passion, I don't find Origin to be that bad (the fact i got 2 free games from them doesn't hurt). and to be perfectly honest, it wasn't till recently that I accepted Steam (for borderlands 2)

but all of them are still better than GFWL
