So ahem...apologies for my ranting...
On Saturday I showed my buddy the game and as he went ahead and caused utter mayhem in a vehicle the vehicle proceeded to show damage...but alas in the PS3 version it looks like PS2 graphics when ur car gets damaged...but anyway I feel like a doofus for moaning about something that just didn't happen the first few times around...

To be fair the car damage is pretty basic at first, even on PS4. It takes some serious impacts to wreck a car but I think that's deliberate. Driving and car missions are (for me) the weakest part of the game and there's some weird gameplay mechanics such as how pursuing cars always have more weight than the vehicle you're driving. I was driving a garbage truck while getting pushed off the road by hatchback cars (presumably to force the player to use the hacking prompts).
I'm enjoying myself though, going through the main campaign while sticking to the "gang hideouts" side missions and some "criminal events". They're definitely the highlight of the game for me (showing off what's different about this game) and I wish there was an option to remove some tags from the map as the game feels bloated as hell when it comes to side activities.
I've had some great fun getting through missions only hitting the main target or hacking without confronting guards or, if therés no way around it, I'm sticking to non-lethal stealth takedowns unless them missions objectives force the kill. Last night a particularly packed gang-hideout missions was complete by causing a blackout, stealthing straight in to hit the main target and disappearing before the power was restored. it was great sandbox fun.

@Magius - If you stick to doing the gang hideouts at night, you can often use power cts to move about quickly and quietly. During the day, I imagine some in open areas are almost impossible. There was one in the NW-part of the map near a beach in which I had to swim to the shore, jump out and take down the 1st target and then jump back in a swim along to the next spot. Coming from the road was impossible but all the targets are kindly lined up near the water.

@Magius - sorry for the spelling - was trying to say power "cuts". I think it may be the skill called "blackout"? Knocks out the power without you having to target any conduits.
You're definitely right about the power conduits being lethal. I find almost all items you can cause to explode/burst are lethal at close range. You can use them to just knock over/stun enemies but getting the right distance is too risky.
