@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

For niche titles it's okay. Problem is I play mainly bigger titles. Games are expensive enough as is. If I can save 50 bucks, use my ebucks (which some retailers allow) then I'm definitely going with another retailer.

Basically if I have to choose between paying delivery or not I'm going to go for not paying for delivery. On top of that, I find my Nexus orders are usually delayed. I don't think I've ever received a game on release day which is annoying when you're paying extra for delivery especially. And often you have to ask where it is which I don't think the customer should have to do, that's part of customer service.

I got 3 games through Origin

Dead Space
Plants vs Zombies
Battlefield 3

I think I'll hold out on Watch Dogs and rather get Wildstar

This game feels alot like Sleeping Dogs

^^That's bad news for some of us...I did not enjoy Sleeping Dogs one bit.

This game seems to have more mixed feelings than Bound By Flame, although Watch Dogs are more "disappointed" related than "pure crap".

Sleeping Dogs was cool!!
Watch Dogs has not lived up to all the hype that many ppl expected!
They thought it would be on par with GTAV, or maybe even better! Not so, nothing can beat GTAV!

Sleeping Dogs beats GTA.

I think the games shouldn't really be compared to each other, other than the "Open World City" aspect as they all have unique gameplay styles.

I like / liked all 3

When I just found out about the game, I drew comparisons between it and GTA V. As time went on, I could clearly see a vast difference between the 2 games and stopped making any comparisons between the 2 games, as they significantly different from one another, however, I don't see why people shouldn't make comparisons between Watch Dogs and GTA V's Cities, Graphics, Cars etc.

No matter how different the Story/Gameplay/Characters, the worlds are pretty much the same thing except with different settings of course. And in all honesty, this game had all the opportunities to better than GTA V.

I think GTA's heavy focuse on causing crime, Sleeping dogs focus on sinister societies and martial arts and Watch_dogs hacking and or social information awareness lets each game stand on its own.

But yeah, things like getting from A-B, hijacking vehicles, riding over pedestrians, being chased by cops etc. remain the same. However, one thing is for sure, GTA has set the standard for what can be done in an "Open World City", especially when a game is developed for as long at it was.

I'm loving every moment of Watch_dogs. The random events. And the city feels very alive. The game plays really well. Aside from the driving. Watch_Dogs really is such a great experience. The gameplay is responsive and well. Watch_Dogs simply is a great game.

And I don't care about the graphics, nor the downgrade. I feel like in our current day. People like to talk and bitch about games more than actually playing them

Driving is awful, otherwise not too bad. Hacking is too simple IMO, point at camera and hit Q. It's fun, but not mindblowing.

Agreed - mostly ignoring driving-related side missions and sticking to hacking and gang hideout side missions. Hacking the CtOS centres and towers is decent fun as well.

So far the main plot missions are happy to deviate way off the main plot but provide some very cool scenarios for the hacking powers.

Are you guys "checking in" at locations? I see people leave money and ammo for other "check -ins". I have also just started hunting down the QR codes, can be some serious fun when you need a break from the Hacking side of things

I have been checking in when near by a location but I don;t think I've ever bothered to create a uPLay account - is it needed to access the rewards?

Otherwise the QR codes are the one side activity I haven't tried. Will give it a shot this afternoon.

Still playing my (almost) zero kill run and so far it's quite plausible though some missions don't give you the option. The stealth components are what's setting it apart from other GTA-clones and is currently the major hook for me.

Yeah - I have aUplay account from AC and FC3. So I guess you need that - it takes 2 minutes to create a Uplay account and it auto signs in on most of your Ubisoft Uplay supported games if you are already signed into XBL or PSN.

You also get those U play action points that enables extra gaming content in the Ubisoft games you play; Weapons, Missions, Dynamic themes etc. just by completing tasks in their games. Pretty cool actually.

I feel that in Watch_Dogs they have forced you into scenarios where you have to take out the "bad guys" as part of the story development and Aidens Character progression and or severity of the scenario he is in (willing to kill if needed) but like you, 90% of the time I manage to do missions via stealth.

That it is Tea. The atmosphere in the game is great too. Papers flying around with the wind. Especially before it starts raining the sound of the wind getting louder etc. I love it

yeah, I sat watching the empty cool drink cans just being blown around by the wind and knocked about by traffic in a intersection yesterday for like 10 min. Was amazed by how many small details they have bothered to put in the game!
