High: Day after my resignation and I feel really good - despite no perm employment yet.
High 2: Had about 3 more calls expressing interest in my CV
Cautious High: A friend's business is in deep doo doo. Cashflow flush, but on the verge of collapse due to poor management and decision making. I've proposed going into the business to basicallydiagnose all the issues and fix them or at least try an fix them for the next five months. Very exciting prospect and more up my alley and more importantly I'll be able to earn some income and make my own hours while I get my head right after the sh*tshow that this last job has been.

Low - Got a grand total of 1.5 hours of sleep last night, it seems the insomnia is back with a vengeance

Low: Friggen middle age. Every day, every week that passes brings you closer to hurting yourself doing something normal. Pick up a pen? yeah back is now stuffed for three weeks. Putting on pants? You just fell and headbutted the toilet. You will never admit this.

Case in point: I just pulled an arse muscle because I was walking a bit to fast. That's what enthusiasm gets you.

High - No work tomorrow

I hate this time of year…everything is aching…my knee, my ankle, my shoulder….my friend always tell me it’s because I was in the “Weermag”, his translation from Afrikaans to English…Weather force…our old army guys can tell the weather with our ache and pains….

So not today, but over the past week....

High: Got myself a new PC case and SSD
Low: When moving my PC into the new case, I somehow broke the motherboard. Which is understandable, this PC is something that I got from Cash Converters years ago. It's an old 2nd-gen Intel. Still, was super annoyed that it broke.
High: Decided it was finally time to build a PC. The first time I've ever had a brand new PC that wasn't a hand-me-down or a Cash Converters find!
Extra High: Got the parts on Tuesday and built it. It was so much fun!

High - Almost Friday!
High - Boss away for a month! *pops champagne*
High - Voting yesterday took all of 10mins.
Low - Might need a new PS2

High - So many awesome movies releasing in the next few weeks
Low - Tolkien releasing here 21 June only

Low - Mom was attacked by a dog yesterday at a dog training camp of all places, ripped a couple chunks out of her arm, was an attack dog so she is lucky it didn't go for her face or throat.

Extra Low - Samsung's TV updates are really starting to annoy me, they fix one thing but break another every damn time. Going to see if I can roll back 2 versions when everything worked.

High - It's Friday and only have one meeting and then can chill for the rest of the day.

High - FINALLY taking the plunge and going back to fencing end of this month, booking my time slot with the coach next week. I've missed it so much
High 2 - It's down the road from my work
Low - Have to wait until end of the month
Low 2 - I sold my old equipment a while back, need to buy a whole new kit

High-ish: One of our consultants heard I resigned and asked if I'm interested in joining them. If all else fails...

High - Had a really lovely Mother's Day, thanks to DP and our family
Low - No more long weekends for a while, well until next month

High - Saturday is my girls first and my sons 3rd bday party! super excited.

Why do kids get school projects the parents must do? My son got a project to build a working hydrolic arm. The arm must turm 180 degrees left to right. The arm must move up and down and the claws needs to open and close…

Thanks to You tube and a lot of patience the project is done and working. No ways my son could have done this on his own.

I really feel sorry for the kids whose parents is not involved in their schoolwork.

On a brighter note, my son is doing the General Knowledge Challenge today again. He was the national winner last yearfor his grade and the ended 3 in the overal competion. He gota nice cash prize and the school gve him honoury colours for his achievement.

Low - So yea, need a new PS2. Mines internal battery has officially died. & the flex cable is starting to scratch the discs.
Easy fixes, but PS2s are plentiful on the secondhand market & mostly cheap.

High: Got good news last night... will reveal in a few weeks don't want to jump the gun
Medium: Opportunity has arrived to go to Uganda. Not sure how I feel about it. Maybe in a year or so?

Well... I just had my mind blown
On Friday, a guy got hit by a train in Henley-on-klip. My wife drove past the accident. Turns out he was related to the maid where she works. (It's a small "town").
This is obviously tragic, he misjudged the speeds, freak accident, the works.
So today we found out what really happened....
He was walking next to the track with headphones on. There is an app that tells you where the train is. He checked the app, which told him the train was still on it's way... and he crossed the track right in front of the train (which hooted at him, but HEADPHONES)

So... He died because he literally did not bother to look right, but instead checked his phone.
How utterly and mind-blowingly.... avoidable.
I feel sorry for his family but sheesh... Dawin award right there.
