Low: Bloody hell some people these days. Offered a job to a young professional about a month ago to start on 1 May. She accepted and signed the offer letter, now I get a phone call from the agent saying that she's decided to take up another offer. Normally that's not an issue (another offer) but after accepting and signing all contract docs for mine?! That's just offside. The industry we are in is tiny so this will come back and bite her at some point.

It is breach, not on our side though as the contract is only effective 1 May. She has breached her placement agreement with the agency so they will go after her for damages in terms of the fee they are no losing out on.
We are in the finance industry (she's a newly qualified CA) and it is a small community, I run into old colleagues all the time so she will lose out on jobs in future when someone mentions that they are looking to hire her.

High - That feeling when you have been telling people for 2 days that the issue does not lie with you and that their system is causing the failures, showing them proof that this is the case but they keep pushing the blame back to you and you finally get approval to route your traffic to bypass their system and everything works as it should, route it back to them and they **** it up. It's the drop mic I'm out fix your **** morons, feeling.

High: So less than two weeks after deciding that I may be better served with quitting, it seems that my skills are in demand. Have had a few phonecalls from companies interested in meeting with me.
Low: Have to wait and see if interest translates into actual meetings.
Update Low: Yep boss and I just aren't seeing eye to eye so going to resign today.
Kinda High (maybe): I'll get a break and have time to clear some of that backlog.
Worrying Low: Future is so murky this has an equal chance of turning out well or badly (i.e. long term unemployment
)
