Hey @Tea, any chance you can organise a copy of Silent Hill Origins for me? Doesn't matter which platform

@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

For everyone who's played the previous games, what would you like to see from 3.0?

Personally, I would like higher quality cutscenes and skill tree images. I know it's a small gripe, but in 2.0 these seemed heavily compressed (playing on PS4, don't know about the other versions).

Allowing to use characters on all the worlds. Give each character the ability like Rocket, Hulk and Iron Man.

But make it a challenge to unlock the characters.

So just a quick round-up of some of the announcements at D23 this year:

  • A range of Star Wars character packs called Light FX which will feature light-up Lightsabers.
  • Finn and Rey character packs for The Force Awakens playset have been revealed.
  • Spot from The Good Dinosaur will be getting a character pack along with a power disc pack.
  • Character packs for both Judy and Nick from Zootopia.

  • As with previous Disney Infinity games, collecting all characters will unlock a special item. In 3.0 this item is the Keyblade for your characters to use in the Toy Box.

With each piece of news I am more and more excited for the release of 3.0, Disney are really making it a much more focused experience with improvements all-round, and more play sets to give longevity.

    Hey Trevor,

I see that the PS4 Special Edition (that includes Luke, Leia, and Boba Fett) is scheduled for October 2nd. I thought that it was supposed to come out the same day as the normal edition (August 28th)?

Yesterday we received notification from the local suppliers that it will be launching early October... this is a little sad making as we have to wait just a tiny bit for the Boba Fett character and secondary play set.

To compensate we will offer all paid orders the option of picking up the base starter set (with the Disney Infinity Base and Disney Infinity 3.0 video game software, the Star Wars: Twilight of the Republic Play Set, Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker figures, and a web code card) as it launches on August 28th, and then the balance of items from the Special Edition (the Star Wars: Rise Against The Empire Play Set, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Boba Fett figures, and web code card) as they become available.

There is a possibility the Special Edition may launch earlier that October, and will keep you updated if it does. If you have any queries your can drop us a mail at info@awx.co.za

Prima interactive really sucks at distributing this... I wanted this at launch, waiting a month is ridiculous to be honest as it means that the special edition is just for Boba Fett and for that "privilege" you get to wait a month for paying a premium. Should rather cut them out completely. I have all the launch figures arriving on the 28th but they're essentially just dust collectors until this arrives

The champions of your childhood memories, Disney, are back with a fresh new version of the widely successful Infinity game. Today, Disney Infinity 3.0 launches globally on PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 with a load of new mechanics and characters bound to keep you entertained for hours on end.

I have never invested in interactive toys, the likes of Skylanders or Amiibos never piqued my interest, and despite previous iterations of the very popular Infinity series having some very appealing characters I still held back. Enter Star Wars, the major pull factor in my decision to join in the Toy Box fun of Disney Infinity. Since Disney acquired the rights to Star Wars back in 2012 scepticism and doubt have driven many a fan fuelled conversation over how successfully Disney will handle such a mega phenomena as Star Wars. I think we can all say at this point, they have done a pretty good job and this really shows with something like Disney Infinity.

Starting it up you are whisked through a some tense moments from various campaigns available as playsets in the 3.0 storyline. You get a sense of what the storylines will involve, what gameplay to expect and as an introduction to the dedicated Toy Box Hub, it really captures your imagination and pulls you into the notion that this game is nothing malicious, and that you will be finding a great deal of that lost childhood innocence.

A colourful and multi-levelled system, Disney Infinity 3.0 boasts a massive array of activities all packaged together in what is a newer, easier to access central hub. This Toy Box Hub is the centre of your Infinity universe, from here you can discover new ways of playing, learn to manage the more intricate styles of gameplay, access multiplayer games and various pre-made game modes. The hub is a massive smash-up of a ton of different Disney themes. Populated with recognizable buildings and townsfolk who bumble about advising you on every step of the journey. Right from the start you will be gifted with the help of a sidekick. Your sidekick; a miniature version of a Disney character can be customized and loaded out with all sorts of gear. The Sidekick provides a fantastic aid for combat as you can kit it out with whatever gear suits your fighting style. Above and beyond that, you can get your sidekick to farm or build for you in the Toy Box. Growing food helps level up your sidekicks abilities. On one too many occasions I have found myself spending hours on end helping my sidekick on the plots, farming for pizza (it grows!) and ice cream!
The Hub also serves as an access point to the playsets you have.

The base game includes the Twilight of the Republic playset which is a story driven gameplay experience which puts you in the middle of the animated Clone Wars saga. Popularized by the television series on Cartoon Network; the Clone Wars era takes place between Episodes II and III and focuses on the adventures of Anakin and Ashoka during the heated war between the Republic and CIS. With the two aforementioned characters provided in the starter set, you can co-op your adventure locally or online with a friend. To be honest the playset experience blew my socks off. I expected less. The attention to detail in terms of story is pedantic, with multiple objectives, each level is replayable and once you unlock certain character coins. You can replay the level again to access specific areas you wouldn't be able to reach with the base characters.

Each playset can take you between 4 to 8 hours to complete, so it provides a decent story driven experience which will more than sate your campaign needs. With the October release of the Rise Against the Empire pack you can further your playset experiences as you team up with Luke, Leia, Han and Chewie in the campaign driven along the lines of the Original Trilogy.

Speaking of the characters, their real life miniatures are just exquisite. Beautifully crafted and intricately detailed they are a collector's dream. Each character is complete matte finish which gives it an edge of class and finish which I don't see in the other interactive toy brands out there.

Jumping back to the Toy Box Hub, you can create your own themed interiors with the INterior mode. Within this mode you can outfit your own little pad with new rooms and themed decor, you can even throw parties for townsfolk. On the surface this might seem a little gimicky, but everything has a purpose. Your INterior is your gateway to new sidekicks. Townsfolk will arrive in your house and ask to have a room themed around one of the Disney franchises, upon creating a room you will unlock a sidekick linked to that franchise. I had far too much fun making my INterior look like the inside of the Death Star, complete with TIE Fighter couches and Darth Maul throw rugs.

The real success however, lies in Toy Box Mode. In this creative realm you can go wild and build whatever you can think of. Literally anything you can think of. Be it a themed world or a race track, a mini game of your own design or an imported one. There are endless possibilities in this mode, I spent a very large amount of my time building a massive intricate world themed around a firm personal favourite; Brave.

The Toy Box, I have found, is a very multi-faceted tool, on the surface, the construction and creation elements are a joy to work with, but below that there is an intricate element of programming. You are able to define routes, trigger events, create dialogues between objects and essentially "build" your own game. Through a clever and easily explained system, you can purchase items from the toy store which you are then able to programme to use in the game world. For example, after watching a friend using a grind rail to level up his character, I followed suite and built a similar device which essentially exponentially increases my characters ability to earn sparkles which I can then spend in the toy store. Now this, I suppose is a bit of a hack, but my justification is, if it's there and one has the ingenuity to build it, why not?

There is a magical sense of nostalgia and 'I've been here before' that you get from this game, it has been lovingly crafted, its environments, characters and perfect musical scores will have you happily bobbing your way down memory lane while making new ones of your own in this special title.

I'm considering to get myself Disney 3.0 but not 100% sure what to expect cos lots of people say it's like skylanders and that's a game that never interested me and with Lego dimensions around also getting released was wondering if I shouldn't wait a bit .
