Hey @Tea, any chance you can organise a copy of Silent Hill Origins for me? Doesn't matter which platform

@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

@Crav
If you're not sure, try out the Disney Infinity PC versions. They give you a pretty substantial amount of content to play through that should inform your decision. 1.0 on PC has the entire Incredibles story for you to play through. 2.0 has a portion of The Avengers story. I don't see 3.0 up yet to try that.

It's a lot of fun, so much so that I'm going to be getting them on console.

As for Skylanders, haven't played that so in terms of gameplay I can't see how close together they are beyond buying figures to unlock in game to play with.

Lego Dimensions looks cool though I guess if you've played any of the Lego games lately you'll know exactly how Dimensions is most likely going to play. Out of the three it does look like it will probably be the most expensive since it's the Lego brand along with all the properties they have access to.

Lego dimensions has been moved to March 2016 in SA, I think Disney Infinity 3.0 is a vast improvement over the previous 2. There is loads to do and the gameplay has been improved from the last one. Not saying it was bad before but the gameplay was very repetitive after awhile and the cities were pretty lifeless. However you can still check out the gameplay of Lego dimensions and reviews as the launch dates are still this year in some territories.

Disney Interactive revealed details for Marvel Battlegrounds, the upcoming Play Set for Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition, featuring a new four-player, arcade brawler style of gameplay, and an original Marvel storyline.

Developed by United Front Games, in partnership with Avalanche Software, Marvel Battlegrounds is the first Disney Infinity Play Set to feature four-player gameplay. With full compatibility for all Disney Infinity Marvel characters, Marvel Battlegrounds features the widest selection of playable characters of any previous Play Set.

Launching in March 2016, Marvel Battlegrounds will feature Hulkbuster, Ultron and Captain America: The First Avenger, a new version of Captain America with a new pose, costume and enhanced abilities.

Nice I've been waiting on more info about the Marvel playset. And that Cap figure looks really detailed.

Oh Trevor, why do you tempt me so...

Disney have announced a 3rd SW playset to come in December based on The Force Awakens. You can play as Finn, Poe, Daisy Ridley's character (dammit cannot remember her name) and Kylo Ren. Going to be cool to see how Kylo and Vader stack up in crossplay

Here are some images for the characters and screenshots from the new playset. Pre-orders are open for these so check out the campaign page by clicking here.

Return to a galaxy far, far away alongside new heroes and old friends as they search for a much needed ally. – FINN: A soldier on a path to adventure and danger. – REY: A true survivor who is resourceful and capable.

The playset piece looks really awesome, love the design for it.

I also think the Poe figure looks epic, gonna be a great set to collect.

Names of the discs in the Power Disc Pack for this range have been listed, although we are still waiting for update art on them. These are:
  • Finn's Stormtrooper Costume
  • Poe's Resistance Jacket
  • Resistance Tactical Strike
  • Quad Jumper

  • These also launch December 18th along with the movie, characters and playset.

Finally put up some shelves for my figures. They look so much better on display

I may need to get another shelf with all of the new figures coming out though...

That looks really great, I want to do the same with my figures. The black floating shelves work really well.

Just a reminder to everyone that the new Rise Against the Empire range of figures, power discs and the playset are available in-store this Friday. The Darth is looking epic!

As always it's all listed in the campaign page which can be found by clicking here. We're also waiting on confirmation for the Light FX range of characters, thus far it looks like a local release of January / February next year. There might be stock limitations so if you would like to pre-reserve any drop us a mail at orders@awx.co.za
