Earlier today, a series of leaks appeared via Twitter showing a new Xbox console which many speculated to be the Xbox Series S. A <strong>short video</strong> showed the white smaller next-gen hardware next to the Xbox Series X for size comparisons. Later, Windows Central would report on the console as well. According to their sources, the Xbox Series S, a discless console much like the PS5 variation, will be sold for the pretty low price of $299. Additionally, they also revealed the price of the Xbox Series X, which is apparently $499, with both consoles releasing on November 10th.

The above information was posted by sources who spoke to Windows Central and later reported by gaming analyst Daniel Ahmad, giving the leak plenty of credibility. A few short moments later, Xbox would catch wind of the various leaks, and confirm the console's existence for themselves - which, to be fair, might've been the worst-kept gaming secret in recent memory. Xbox unveiled the form factor of the console, featuring a white design similar to the Xbox One S, only with the black vent for air flow facing the front instead of the defaulted top like the Xbox Series X.



As for the report by Windows Central, none of that has officially been confirmed by Xbox, though it's a pretty reliable source of information when it comes to Microsoft leaks. Xbox have only confirmed the pricing to be $299, with a promise of more info to be shared soon. We currently don't have any release date, but Windows Central's report on the November 10th release does make sense. It falls on a Tuesday, and much like the reports of the PS5 launching a little after the Series X on November 13th, makes sense. With things at least starting to move forward (somewhat) for next-gen consoles, let's hope Xbox and Sony can finally stop pulling their punches as we draw closer to the November release window.
