PlayStation Plus Games for February 2021 Announced

@IkariX I recently Played the Final Fantasy 7 original for the first time After playing FF7 Remake Part 1 and I didnt enjoy the original at all,It wasnt as good as FF8. However My Current favorite FF game so far is FF16.I also feel like you cant really compare the original to the remake trilogy untill the trilogy is complete.

I still can't get over what an amazing game Blood Of Dawnwalker was. I feel depressed now after finishing it. Everything is so well done in the game, side quest and all.

I haven't even touched Rebirth yet lol and I really enjoy the Remake stuff, even more so because it's a sequel to the original, but FF has gone downhill overall imo. Trails is my current favourite JRPG series, and it's really not even a close competition.

No one is stopping you from enjoying the FFVII Reamke games. But my point still stands, it's poorly written fanfiction. First time I played Final Fantasy VII was in 1999. Final Fantasy VII and Resident Evil 1(I still have both), were my first 2 PlayStation 1 games. So I've played Final Fantasy VII numerous times over the years. What what the Remake games are, are nothing more than imitators.

It's mass market slop at it's finest. Does it make it terrible games? Not at all, Remake Part 1 was fairly decent. But let's not pretend that any of the remake games are as good as the original. I hope Square Enix doesn't touch Final Fantasy VIII. Because they'll ruin that as well.

@phreak - Dont't get me wrong, many fans have valid criticism's with the game and I respect that. And It sucks when a game you're excited for doesn't hit the way you'd hope. I mean as fans we want to enjoy all entries in our favourite franchises.

I feel that as I'm getting older I rather just enjoy games for what they are.

One thing that I am not happy with is that FFVII Revelation will not be fully on disc, even though physical discs are included.

I'm a pretty hardcore FF fan but if you love the Remake series, as I do, you also kind of have to understand that a lot of contentious decisions were made in the story and it's just not gonna land with some people. I totally get why some folks don't like it or agree with the changes.

I do hope however that the announcement of FFXVII is close, feels like the FF fandom needs a new mainline title to reset after the Remake series lol

PlayStation Plus Games for February 2021 Announced

PlayStation has unveiled three new titles coming to PlayStation Plus in February 2021: Control: Ultimate Edition (for both PS4 and PS5), Concrete Genie and their newest title, Destruction AllStars (PS5 only). This marks one of the best PlayStation Plus line-ups in a while, especially for those who have yet to experience Control, one of the biggest surprises - and according to many media outlets, the best game - of 2019.

PlayStation made the announcement today via blog post that February 2021's games will include Remedy Entertainment's Control: Ultimate Edition for both PS4 and PS5 (which includes the base game plus all DLC content); Pixelopus' creative adventure title Concrete Genie; and finally, Destruction AllStars, a new vehicular combat game focused on multiplayer action.

Given 505 Games' controversial stance against Control's next-gen upgrades via forcing players to purchase the Ultimate Edition, this is quite a welcomed surprise.

Meanwhile, Concrete Genie will also dazzle with its gorgeous animated style and creative gameplay features from Pixelopus, who made one of 2019's most heartwarming and vibrant video games.

Finally, PlayStation also announced that not only will Destruction AllStars launch as a PlayStation Plus title (similar to Fall Guys), it also received its own State of Play, which last almost eight minutes and goes into detail about the game's vivid style and car-smashing mayhem.

All three games will be available from February 2nd, with Control and Concrete Genie leaving the service on March 1st. Destruction AllStars will remain until April 5th.
