Square Enix had a big showing for Final Fantasy XIV fans over the weekend, namely the announcement of a PlayStation 5 version of the beloved MMO which delivers a number of technical improvements. Above all, they also announced the newest expansion titled Endwalker - along with possibly one of the best trailers of the year already. The Endwalker expansion will come with a bunch of new additions that fans will find familiar, but if they have a PS5, there'll be some additional enhancements to look forward to.

The Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker expansion promises a plethora of new content, including the addition of multiple jobs (or classes), new story content, a level cap increase, new areas to explore, and tweaks and improvements to the game's battle system. The full list of additions and changes can be found below:
- Journey to Thavnair, the imperial capital of Garlemald, and even the Moon!
- New Jobs: Sage and more
- Level Cap Increase from 80 to 90
- Expansive new areas, including Garlemald, Thavnair, and the city of Radz-at-Han.
- A New Beast Tribe: the Arkasodara
- New threats, including Anima.
- New Dungeons
- New High-Difficulty Raid: Pandæmonium
- Secrets Revealed in a New Alliance Raid Series
- New Small-scale PvP Content
- An Additional “Trust” System ally: Estinien Wyrmblood
- A New Residential District: Ishgard
- Updates to the Gold Saucer
- Relaxing Fun in Island Sanctuary
- New Gear and Crating Recipes
- Expanded Horizons via the Data Center Travel System
