Far Cry New Dawn - 6 Minutes of Gameplay Footage
Ubisoft announced a new Far Cry title at The Game Awards 2018, titled Far Cry New Dawn. The game serves a sequel to Far Cry 5, though sells itself as somewhat of an unconventional add-on too. In case you were wondering how the game might play, here's six minutes of gameplay footage courtesy of IGN:
Set 17 years after the events of Far Cry 5, which (SPOILER WARNING) saw the world come to a grim end by way of a nuclear fallout, Far Cry New Dawn introduces a new survivor into the post-apocalyptic wastelands. This might ring some bells as it's quite familiar in concept to Bethesda's Fallout games, but it carves its own name through the typical explosive gameplay we've come to expect from Far Cry.
Despite the game receiving a colourful palette mostly consisting of pink (a LOT of pink), the game still looks and feels like Far Cry, for better or for worse. There's plenty of exploration to be done, and more insane action to keep you invested. What immediately grips me about the gameplay is how in-tune it is to the previous entries, but manages to take it one step further by placing it in an unique setting and space that's unfamiliar to the series. We'll get to know the full details of the game when it releases very soon.
Far Cry New Dawn launches on February 15, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
