@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

For niche titles it's okay. Problem is I play mainly bigger titles. Games are expensive enough as is. If I can save 50 bucks, use my ebucks (which some retailers allow) then I'm definitely going with another retailer.

Basically if I have to choose between paying delivery or not I'm going to go for not paying for delivery. On top of that, I find my Nexus orders are usually delayed. I don't think I've ever received a game on release day which is annoying when you're paying extra for delivery especially. And often you have to ask where it is which I don't think the customer should have to do, that's part of customer service.

Smallville Season 11 - It's actually really good. This is what the show should have been doing. Of course no budgetary constraints mean they can do all the things they couldn't in the show.

This, Injustice and the new Adventures of Superman are 3 of the best comics around.

Fables, 2nd trade/2nd part of first deluxe volume, Animal Farm. Loved it. You get to see the "farm" where all non-human Fables live, as well as meeting a few other characters like Goldilocks and the 3 little pigs.
Loved the clear influence of George Orwells' stories and really enjoying the characterizations, seeing Goldilocks written as a right-wing gun nut, or Snow White as a headstrong authoritative figure.
Definitely becoming one of my favorite books.

Locke & Key vol 5. A trip into the past reveals ALL.

Seriously, this is up there with Preacher. You're doing yourself a disservice if you haven't read this.

Finished Locke & Key last night with vol 6. Yup, perfect ending. Very character driven, to excuse the pun not every door is closed, but I think the story of the Locke family is definitely brought to a satisfying and poignant conclusion.

Loved it from start to finish, can't recommend it enough as essential reading.

Spider Man 1963 - really great Spidey stories, way better than F4! Not suprised Spidey became such a huge hit.

The Joker Death of the Family.
One of the BEST comics I have read in a long time!!!!
We all know the Joker is a crazy, sick, twisted, evil psychopath! But this book shows the Joker at he’s most sadistic EVER!!!!
You think you know the Joker? Not until you have read this!!
A MUST read!!!!!

I thought it was quite horrible myself. Snyder's run was great until this. Even what's happening now is nowhere near as good as his opening salvo on this title.

^^^ as a coincidence, I just read vol 1 of Snyder's run - Court of Owls - a few days ago.

Really enjoyed it. Love these increased challenges that they're throwing at Batman. Definitely see some Morrison influence there, but doesn't feel as heavy handed where you feel like you should've taken Psychology 101 at varsity (along with some mind altering substances).
I can understand the criticism it's gotten as it must be hard to carry on with such a high standard of story telling, but guess we'll see when I get to Death of the Family. For the most part I really enjoyed it.

At least Cappulo's art will remain, and boy what art. Everything just feels so organic. Not hyper-realistic, not overly stylized, just natural, and really makes it feel like the premier Batman title.

Really hope this team sticks around.

Nope. Haven't been since he started writing. His stories are [censored], he's a great artist, but an awful storyteller. Also hated his arrogance once he helped form Image. The way he attacked Marvel was just uncalled for, especially since he did the exact same things to guys who worked on Spawn that Marvel did to others before him.

The Superior Foes of Spider-Man - Nice, quirky and funny look at super villain life from the perspective of the new imcompetent Sinister Six (though they number only five). So far the only good thing to come out of this horrible Superior Spider-Man storyline.

It Came! - Fantastic art style and the humour's not too bad. Meant to be a comic version of those old 1950's SF B movies. Succeeds quite well.
