First things first, the Deep Roads trip is the ending quest for Act 1 so don't trigger it until you've done everything you can.

Yeah, it just comes across too cheap (especially when you revist them again in Act 2). They could maybe have stuck in a texture covering a door to make you at least feel you're not going past mysteriously locked doors, or in my personal opinion, at least change the damn mini-map so you don't identify it as the same map the moment you start the level.

I also find I'm spamming passive/sustained abilities and just getting through it with combat. Tactics are alright but they seem to have triggering issues I never found in DA:O (like Anders constantly flicking between attack and heal and never doing either).

I agree that the imporved combat and thinning RPG elements didn't make much of a difference in a game like ME2 (altho I'd still love them to find the balance in ME3) but yeah, jamming down the attack button for every fight irritates me and I feel like the game seems to promote more enduring characters later on, not more powerful.My character are on level 19 and they don;t tear through tough creatures like I could on DA:O, they just survive longer so they can slowly chip away at it's health bar.

Aah, all your talk of Baldurs Gate 2 makes me feel like pulling out the old complete edition I've got in the cupboard...

Hard Corps Uprising - having lots of fun with the online rising mode, lving bahamut and sayuri, just the freezing issues can he damm annoying, hope arcsys patch this soon.

MvC3 - played a oouple of matches last night, did a lot better than expected , need to learn more chars though, doesn't look like magneto is gonna work online...

BBCS - awesome session last night.

Started Mass Effect 2 (X360) last night, about 1.5hrs in, just got back into the Normandy so still early stages.

First impressions are good, gameplay still feels the same to me, dialog trees are still there and fun to use. Encountered one new mechanic which is an interesting change, and also enjoying the new hacking/lock picking system.
Have yet to really get into the gist of leveling and equipment, so will see how that's as I go. Game also looks very polished even with me being a year or so late to the party

Good solid start so far, dying to get my team back as well.

MK9 demo - never again...

@Lurch Thanks man. I get the feeling that like ME2 there aren't many side quests as I have two left to do in Act 1 before triggering the Deep Roads. My one memory of ME2 was that it had fewer sidequests than ME1 and I am getting that feeling with DA2

Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Really enjoying it so far! although, looking for the trophies is a bit of a pain though (as in, it can take quite long). But still lots of fun!

Homefront. On my second play through, trying to find all the newspaper clippings. Love this game, KZ3 can suck it!!!

MvC3 - kinda liking the new patch, like the new sent nerf, if he's gonna be killing ppl in one combo its only fair ppl should be able to do the same, trying out dante and taskmaster as well, gonna drop magneto for a while.

Hardcorps uprising - cheap deaths galore, stuck on stage 4,even in online rising mode ppl die in 10 secs flat, not helping at all. must be one of the harder stages.

Ghostbusters Sanctum of Slime - Cool over the head shooter would buy it if it was half the price.

Add Gears of War 2 & Doom 3 (XBOX Version) to my growing list.

30+ minutes of FF7 (on PSP) at lunch time since Jan has got me minutes away from Aeris' demise.

Also started up Dead Space 1 on Insane and I'm pretty much surviving on the principle of 5 plasma cutter rounds to kill something, pick up 6 (hopefully). Seems harder than Dead Space 2's Zealot mode but I could just be rusty.

Pokemon black - two gym badges down now and my pink little flower thing kicks ass

Demon's Souls - still just getting started, I've now narrowed two paths in Boletaria Palace i need to stay away from until i've killed Phalanx.

That damn Red eye'd Knight pwned me twice last night

ME2, forgot how much time you can waste just walking around and talking to ppl. Played for a little over an hour last night and most of it was just dialog, probably only 10min of actual shooting.

Also update my Starcraft 2 (last I logged in was November last year lol), purely just to check out the custom maps. Tried out a local Aiur Chef and joined a DotA as well. Had absolutely no clue what was going on wow it took some getting used to coming from HoN.

Posty, it's so easy once you figure out how the game works and when to dodge attacks, then you start cakewalking teh game. Everything can be exploited! Once I figured out how the game lost its edge.

MvC3 - ok i take it back, the sentinel patch is bs, if they're gonna nerf his hp they should buff his assist, his assist is so easy to punish and the low hp isn't helping
